As per question, that means Rahul is 7 year elder than Sachin = x+7.
x/x+7 = 7/9.
9x = 7x+49.
2x = 49.
x = 24.5.

Simple method..
Let the peresent ages of sachin and rahul be 7x and 9x
sachin is younger than rahul in 7 years
So 9x-7x=7
2x=7
x=3.5
Sachins age= 7x= 7*3.5=24.5
