Total votes are 7500, 20% of total votes are invalid because of total valid votes 80% of the total votes.
100% valid votes =6000 votes.
Therefore first person got 55% of valid votes remaining 45% of valid votes got by other candidates.
Therefore 45% of valid votes =2700 valid votes.
100% valid votes =6000 votes.
Therefore first person got 55% of valid votes remaining 45% of valid votes got by other candidates.
Therefore 45% of valid votes =2700 valid votes.

I was also confused that it should be 25% for other candidates.
Since 80% votes are valid.
Now these 80% votes are taken as 100% because we are counting only valid votes, out of which first candidate got 55% votes and other got 45%.
so, 45% of 6000 = 2700.
Since 80% votes are valid.
Now these 80% votes are taken as 100% because we are counting only valid votes, out of which first candidate got 55% votes and other got 45%.
so, 45% of 6000 = 2700.

Let 100% = 7500
10%= 750
20%= 1500
80%= 6000
Again let 100%= 6000
10%= 600, 10*4= 600*4 , 40%= 2400
5%= 300.
Therefore 45%=2400+300= 2700 Ans.
10%= 750
20%= 1500
80%= 6000
Again let 100%= 6000
10%= 600, 10*4= 600*4 , 40%= 2400
5%= 300.
Therefore 45%=2400+300= 2700 Ans.

Anyone please solve this.
In an election, 50000 voters didn't poll their votes. 20% of them who casted were declared invalid and 18% of the valid votes are received by the looser while 26% of the total listed votes are declared nota. If the winner defeated looser by 12100 votes. Then find the total no of votes listed in the voter list.

1500 is the right answer because 6000 is 100%.
So 25% of 6000is 1500.
So 25% of 6000is 1500.

Why you all are considering 45% valid votes for other people,
100-20 % = 80% votes are valid,
As 55% valid for one person,
However, 45% is total votes (valid + invalid) other person got.
100-20 % = 80% votes are valid,
As 55% valid for one person,
However, 45% is total votes (valid + invalid) other person got.
