43 can also answer because 43 is only prime number in this series.

If it will subtract with each other 1, 3, 5, 9, 7, 11. It's not a case of prime number else its a case of increasing (from the left side, then answer will be 27) /decreasing order (from the right side then answer will be 34).

43-34=9, 34-27=7.

In series 1, 3, 5, 9, 7, 11 is coming. We may assume 43 as wrong. Please clear my doubt.

34 is the wrong number because the difference b/w 2 number sequence 1, 3, 5, 9, 7, 11.

So 34 wrong.

I also agree with @Saket, @Vijay Kumar D, @Prakhar, and @Sonia.

Only 43 is the prime number and rest are not. So 43 can also be the correct answer.

Sonia said:   10 years ago
Why don't we consider 43 as wrong because are all composite numbers except 43 then why don't we pick this 43 prime number as wrong?

Prakhar said:   1 decade ago
43 is the only prime no hence it can also be the answer. !
