11*3=33.
33+3=36.
36*3=108.
108+3=111(110 which is wrong).
111*3=333.

All numbers except 121 are divisible by 3.
So, 121 is also odd man out. Not denying the multiples of 11 logic. But both 121 or 279 must be the correct answer.

Yes, every number is divisible by 11 but expect 279.
