64 is the only perfect square and rest are not.
And also we can easily subtract the 2 numbers and the difference should be ordered by 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17. Like that'but the number 64 is exempted from this case.

All are in the form n*n+1.

The difference between the numbers are prime except between 50 and 64.
5-2=3.
10-5=5.
17-10=7.
26-17=9.
37-26=11.
50-37=13.
64-50=14.
3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13 are prime numbers but 14 is not. So the answer is 64.
5-2=3.
10-5=5.
17-10=7.
26-17=9.
37-26=11.
50-37=13.
64-50=14.
3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13 are prime numbers but 14 is not. So the answer is 64.

2=even.
5=odd.
10=even.
17=odd.
26=even.
37=odd.
50=even.
Next number is odd but 64 is even.
5=odd.
10=even.
17=odd.
26=even.
37=odd.
50=even.
Next number is odd but 64 is even.

I think Sonutalwani you are right but Deepu, Sahil, Rsh, Dipanshu, Teenu, Sourav and Nikita your explanations are not clear. Sania your formula is also right. Nishith, Vidhya and Vikram your also right.

Adding the odd numbers like,
sequentially,
2+3 = 5;
5+5 = 10;
10+7 = 17;
17+9 = 26;
26+11 = 37;
37+13 = 50;
Then finally this sequential pattern we get
50+15 = 65.
But there will be 64 is here.
So that's why 64 is oddman out.
sequentially,
2+3 = 5;
5+5 = 10;
10+7 = 17;
17+9 = 26;
26+11 = 37;
37+13 = 50;

Mainly 2 methods.
1) 64 only a perfect square.
2) Difference between 2&5 is 3.
Difference between 5&10 is 5.
Difference between 10&17 is 7.
Difference between 17&26 is 9.
Difference between 26&37 is 11.
Difference between 37&50 is 13.
Difference between 50&64 is 14 (even).
So 64 is correct answer.

I don't understand questions like this.
If you see this question in another way then.
The logic is.
Add prime nos to get next no. Like:
2+3 = 5.
5+5 = 10.
10+7 = 17.
But 17+9 = 26 but 9 is not a prime no.
So the odd one is 26.
How to know what logic is to be applied.

(2)2 - 2 = 2 i.e. [square of the no. and subtract 2 and so on..].
(3)2 - 4 = 5 So square the next no. and subtract the the no. by 4 now so on.
(4)2 - 6 = 10.
(5)2 - 8 = 17.
(6)2 - 10 = 26.
(7)2 - 12 = 37.
(8)2 - 14 = 50.
(9)2 - 16 = 65.
So the odd one is 64 (:
(3)2 - 4 = 5 So square the next no. and subtract the the no. by 4 now so on.
(4)2 - 6 = 10.
(5)2 - 8 = 17.
(6)2 - 10 = 26.

(8)2 - 14 = 50.
(9)2 - 16 = 65.
So the odd one is 64 (:
