12hours =360°.
1 hour = 360/12
=30°.
5 hours= 5*30
=150°.
1 hour= 60mins
1 min =1/60 hour.
10 mins= 10*1/60.
= 1/6 hour.
= 30° * 1/6.
=5°.
Total angle moved by hour hand = 150° + 5°.
= 155°.
12hours =360°.
1 hour = 360/12
=30°.
5 hours= 5*30
=150°.
1 hour= 60mins
1 min =1/60 hour.
10 mins= 10*1/60.
= 1/6 hour.
= 30° * 1/6.
=5°.
Total angle moved by hour hand = 150° + 5°.
= 155°.

Given : our hour hand started at noon i.e. 12 o'clock
and 10 minutes past 5 i.e. 5 hour 10 minutes
we find angle between 12 and 5.10 o'clock
firstly we convert 5hour 10min into minitus 5*60+10=310min
and 310min convert into hour 310/60=31/6
In 12h = 360
So in 31/6 h= (360/12)(31/6)=155 degree.

Very simple we know that an hour hand covers 30' when moving from one number to next as total circle has 360/12 so 5 hour means it has covered an angle of 150' the rest 10 min should be converted first into hour as 10/60 and then multiplied with the same 30' to get 5. Now add 150+5 and you will get 155.

Formula for finding degree when min and hr ar given is
angle = (11/2)*m - 30*h when (11/2)*m > 30*hr
angle = 30*hr-(11/2)*m when (30hr > (11/2)*m
where m = min, hr = hours
=30*5-(11/2)*10
=150-(120/2)
=(300-120)/2
=180/2
=90 degrees
Its a time institute materiel solution.
angle = (11/2)*m - 30*h when (11/2)*m > 30*hr
angle = 30*hr-(11/2)*m when (30hr > (11/2)*m
where m = min, hr = hours
=30*5-(11/2)*10
=150-(120/2)
=(300-120)/2
=180/2
=90 degrees

Don't worry I will explain Clearly....
Past 5 means 5 hours.. and 10 mins out of 60 mins.. that's (10/60)
So.. 5hrs + 10 mins= 5+(10/60) = 5+(1/6).. so. 6*5+1= 31/6hrs..
1hr= 30 degree... so 5hrs= 150 degree and that past 5(means 5degree)...
So 150+5 = 155.
Past 5 means 5 hours.. and 10 mins out of 60 mins.. that's (10/60)
So.. 5hrs + 10 mins= 5+(10/60) = 5+(1/6).. so. 6*5+1= 31/6hrs..
1hr= 30 degree... so 5hrs= 150 degree and that past 5(means 5degree)...
So 150+5 = 155.

A simple process is available Here:
Angle made by hour hand in one hour = 30 degrees.
By 5 hours = 5*30=150 deg.
Angle made by hour hand in one minute= 0.5 degrees.
For 10 min = 10*0.5 = 5 degrees.
Total angle made by Hour hand = 150+5 = 155 degrees.

1hr=30degrees.
Therefore 5hr and 10min=5*30=150=X.
=10min=5degree=Y,
Z=X+Y,
Z=150+5,
Z=155 degree.
Therefore 5hr and 10min=5*30=150=X.
=10min=5degree=Y,
Z=X+Y,
Z=150+5,
Z=155 degree.

Time: 5:10PM.
Standard time 12:00PM.
Angel traced by hours 12 hr =360°
1 hr = 360°/12 = 30°
60 minutes=30°
One minutes = 1/2°
12 PM to 5 PM there are 5 hr so 5*30°=150°
For 10 minutes 1/2*10 =5°
Total Degree= 155°
Standard time 12:00PM.
Angel traced by hours 12 hr =360°
1 hr = 360°/12 = 30°
60 minutes=30°
One minutes = 1/2°
12 PM to 5 PM there are 5 hr so 5*30°=150°
For 10 minutes 1/2*10 =5°
Total Degree= 155°

Angle between hr and min is given by
A =30*hr~(11/2)*min
= 30*5 - (11/2)*10
= 95 degrees
Now the angle swiped by the min hand alone is
6 degrees per min
hence 60 degrees per 10 min
Angle swiped by hr hand alone is
A+60 = 95+60 = 155 degrees.
A =30*hr~(11/2)*min
= 30*5 - (11/2)*10
= 95 degrees
Now the angle swiped by the min hand alone is
6 degrees per min
hence 60 degrees per 10 min
Angle swiped by hr hand alone is
A+60 = 95+60 = 155 degrees.

Angle between hands: 1/2(60H - 11M).
H : Hour.
M: Minutes.
Angle for the Minute hand : 6M.
Angle for the hour hand: 1/2(60H+M).
Reflex angle : 360- Angle.
So for this queestion:
Angle = 1/2(60(5) + (10)).
= 1/2 (310).
= 155.
H : Hour.
M: Minutes.
Angle for the Minute hand : 6M.
Angle for the hour hand: 1/2(60H+M).
Reflex angle : 360- Angle.
