It was Sunday on Jan 1, 2006. What was the day of the week Jan 1, 2010?
Sunday
Saturday
Friday
Wednesday
Answer: Option
Explanation:

On 31st December, 2005 it was Saturday.

Number of odd days from the year 2006 to the year 2009 = (1 + 1 + 2 + 1) = 5 days.

On 31st December 2009, it was Thursday.

Thus, on 1st Jan, 2010 it is Friday.

Take any particular year and divide that year with 4.

If youu get the exact division, then, such year is a leap year.
Eg:- 2012 divide with 4 = 503.
2016/4 = 504,
2014/4 = 503.5. ( this is not a leap year. you shouldn't get decimals at the end.)

Formula:day + month code + no of years(last 2 digits) + no of leap years + century code.

Month code :1 4 4 0 2 5 0 3 6 1 4 6.

Centuty code: 1900-1999=0.
2000-2099=6.
2100-2199=4.
2200-2299=2.

Day code: Sat-0,Sun-1,Mon-2,Tue-3,wed-4, Thu-5, Fri-6.

Divide the years last two digits by 4 if the remainder is 0 then it's a leap year.

2006 jan 1 Sunday
2010 jan 1 ?

Here,
Jan 1 ana jan1 cut
then,
(2010-2006)
=4
leap year = 1
=4+1
=1

So, given day is sunday+5
= Friday is the answer.
