1.
It was Sunday on Jan 1, 2006. What was the day of the week Jan 1, 2010?
Sunday
Saturday
Friday
Wednesday
Answer: Option
Explanation:

On 31st December, 2005 it was Saturday.

Number of odd days from the year 2006 to the year 2009 = (1 + 1 + 2 + 1) = 5 days.

On 31st December 2009, it was Thursday.

Thus, on 1st Jan, 2010 it is Friday.

@All.

Here is the clarification.

Most of us have no prob in calculating no. Off odd days.
But confusion is there when considering the day code.

Simple;
1jan 2000 -sundays.
To
1jan 2006.

Odd days = 6.
2006 = 1.
2007 = 1.
2008 = 2.
2009 = 1.

1 jan 2006 so one day =one odd day.

Total=6
Odd day=7-6=1.

Starting day is sunday so again start from sunday then keep increasing by one
For odd 2=
1 = Monday,
2 = Tuesdays .
So on.

There was only one leap year and the difference of years is 4 now add 1 leap year (eg. 4+1).

Answer is 5 so add five to Sunday it became Friday.

FROM 2007 Normal year- 1 0dd day.

2008 leap year- 2 odd days.
2009 & 2010 normal year - 1 & 1 odd day.
add all the odd numbers= 5 odd days.
Sunday+ 5 odd day= Friday.

@All.

Leap year means February has 29 days.
The last leap year was 2020.
Leap year comes every 4 years.
Eg;
2004, 2008, 2012,2016,2020,2024.

Odd days in 1800 = 1800/7.
Thus we get quotient 52 and remainder 1.
So, the number of odd days in 1800 = 1 odd day.
