It was Sunday on Jan 1, 2006. What was the day of the week Jan 1, 2010?
Sunday
Saturday
Friday
Wednesday
Answer: Option
Explanation:

On 31st December, 2005 it was Saturday.

Number of odd days from the year 2006 to the year 2009 = (1 + 1 + 2 + 1) = 5 days.

On 31st December 2009, it was Thursday.

Thus, on 1st Jan, 2010 it is Friday.

In 100 year we find leap year & non leap year first.
We take 99 years because 100th years is continues.

In 100/4 we get 24 leap year & 99-24=76 is normal yard.

In leap year we get 2 odd days,
In non-leap yard we get 1 odd day, Like this we can find leap the non leap years.

How can we know 2008 is leap year?

Dipesh said:   9 years ago
@Revathi. Divide by 4 is Leap Year.

This is Simple. Example 1st January 2014 is Sunday, then next year same date 1st january 2015 will be Monday.

Similarly, 1st January 2016 will be Tuesday.
Now, 2016 is leap year. So if the question asks what was the day on 1st January 2017 then it will increase by two days i.e Thursday.
