You have to take the given two statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. Read the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the two given statements, disregarding commonly known facts.

Give answer:

  • (B) If only (2) conclusion follows
  • (C) If either (1) or (2) follows

  • (E) If both (1) and (2) follow.

Hi Jeeva,

The second diagram shows the implicit possibility.

From the given statement (Some hens are cows, All the cows are horses), we can find a possibility for all hens being as horses.

Because there is no statements to prove "all hens are NOT horses". So that we can assume 'All hens are horses' for making conclusions. Thats why we are drawing the second diagram.

Most of people getting confusion at this type of problems. Little bit of deep thinking is required. Practice few problems in this type, it will be enough for solving all kind of problems.

Hope this help you. Have a nice day!
