  1. C is the brother of A and the son of E.
  2. F is the mother B.
Only (1)
Only (2)
Either (1) or (2)
(1) and (2) both
Answer: Option
Explanation:

A and B are children of D.

From (1), C is the brother B and son of E.

Since, the sex of D and E are not known. Hence (1) is not sufficient to answer the question.

From (2). F is the mother of B. Hence, F is also the mother of A. Hence D is the father of A.

Thus, (2) is sufficient to answer the question.

According to statement 1: C is a sibling to both A and B hence the same parent D.

If F is the mother then who is E?

Only 2 is required. Because of 2nd statement, we know that D is the father of A and B. With the 2nd statement, we know the gender of d.

It has been said that A & B are children of D= D is the father as, F is mentioned as the mother of B.

Then she could be the mother of A too as A & B are children of the same parent father. Hence F= Mother & D=Father.

Answer B.

D who is a father of A So D is a male.

Statement : C is the brother of A and the son of E. (which means C is male, A is son so again A is male, E can be female because there's a only father in above statement.
if C is sister of A - E can be mother as female and A&E will he husband wife.

I will go with Option 3 (either 1 or 2).
Correct me if I'm wrong.

If A and D are the children of D then according to the question we need to find the father of A. Hence we can consider D as the mother and so according to first option if C is brother of A and son of E then E could be father of A.
