Zensar Technologies Interview Experience - Pune, 28/12/2016
The process was composed of 4 rounds viz.
1. Online Aptitude+Technical test.
2. Communication Assessment.
3. Technical Round.
4. HR Round.
--> Online Aptitude+Technical test:-
There was no negative marking and we were given a total of 60 minutes.This round consists of two sections:
1. Quantitative ability(30 minutes).
2. Technical questions.
The quants sections were bit easy, the only thing we have to manage is the allotted time. Topics covered in quants were 'Profit n Loss', 'Work and Time', 'Problems on Trains' and simple arithmetic. Along with that, there were 2 3 questions which were scenario based.
The technical sections had basic questions on 'Networking', 'Operating System', 'DBMS'. Also, there were some pseudo codes to which we have to predict the output.
There was no negative marking so, try to attempt all the questions.
--> questionsCommunication Assessment:-
Groups of 15-20 candidates were after shortlisting from online test. Every group was judged for their communication skills in various ways like some had Extempore, some gone through GD etc.
In our group, HR asked us to put up our views on the topic of our choice so we decided the topic by our mutual understanding. And they check the way of speaking, sentence formation, vocabulary used.
Some topics from other groups:
2. How IT industry affects the society.
3. classroom learning vs e-learning.
4. women empowerment.
5. Good and bad effects of social media on children etc.
--> Technical Interview:
The panel was too helpful and friendly. They tried to make the candidate comfortable. I questions on SQL, Java, SDLC and basic OOPS concepts.
Some questions which I remember:
1. Explain normalization. He gave a situation about my college and I was asked to design a database and to normalise it.
2. difference between Procedure and Function
3. Syntax of triggers, why to write them.
4. What is Cursor?
5. In Java, String is Immutable. Justify.
6. static block, super keyword
He also explained me to the questions which I was unable to answer.
Guys just be confident with your views. Confidence and proper communication is must.
--> HR Interview:-
This round was just a formality. He told about the company, its various verticals, about their work culture. Asked basic questions about yourself, relocation, shift timings etc.
So after waiting for about 45 minutes after HR interview, here comes the surprise.
