Zensar Interview Experience - Nagpur 20 Oct 2016
There were 4 rounds in the process:
2. Group Discussion/Extempore.
3. Technical Interview.
4. HR Interview.
Because of large crowd batches were created for above process. I was in the Batch 1 which consist of 450 candidates.
(1). In the aptitude round there are two sections:-
a) Quants:- In this section 30 questions are given and you have to solve it in 30 min.
The questions are on:-
i. Time and Work (3-4 questions).
ii. Trains (5-6 questions).
iii. Sequence (1 question).
iv. Cylinder ( 1 question).
v. Ages ( 3-4 questions).
vi. Verbal (This was shock 2-3 questions were asked on verbal where conclusion should be drawn out).
b) Technical:- In this section 20 questions are asked and the time allocated were 20 minutes.
Basic questions are asked on,
iii. Java ( 1-2 question).
iv. OS ( Do read OS .. 2 question are expected).
v. Data structure.
(For our drive there was no sectional cutoff, also the time section is not dependent on other section so try to solve quants fast)
(From the previous interview experience there where 2 more section for technical programming but we didn't get any on that day)
In our batch, 72 out of 450 got selected from Aptitude test.
(2). Again the batch of 72 is distributed in group of 18. Then each group had their GD or extempore. My group mentor decided to take our extempore with an Intro of candidate about his 10, 12th percentage.
Topics were very easy like,
ii. Smart Phones.
Remember guys, the topics are though very simple but many candidates tend to do mistake in speaking fluently. Try to be confident. They only check your confidence and speaking ability.
The batch of 72 after GD/extempore round extracts only 23 candidates.
(3). In the technical round, questions are asked on C, C++, DBMS, Data structure. If you are including Java in your resume then many questions are asked about it. Try to avoid including Java if you are not perfect in it.
In my interview some questions are:-
i. Explain me about your project. (asked about the technologies used).
ii. Questions on DBMS like difference between delete and truncate (Try to explain in a creative manner, I use hand gesture for creating a table to explain the concept or explain on paper). Syntax of Insert, Create, Select.
iii. Then he asks me to write a program on overwriting and overloading.
iv. He asks me to explain what is Data structure and explain it in brief.
(Explain concept of stack , queue, array)
v. What is destructor? ( I first explain him the concept of constructor, a good habit to explain the prior concept )
vi. What is default, constructor?
vii. Then he asks me to predict output of his programs ( He give me 2 programs to solve and predict output).
The program was of,
a-> Bitwise operator
b-> Pointers. (This question was tough, can't recall it)
(Be confident and try to be more creative while answering the questions).
(This was the round where maximum rejections are done 11 got selected for HR round).
(4). This was very easy. Be loyal and prepare your introduction in a good flow.
He asks me to introduce myself. While introducing myself he stopped me and directly ask me about.
i. Are you suitable for working on Hyderabad Site?
ii. Are you suitable for working in European time?
iii. Do you have a passport?
That set, I think the point he looked was my confidence , how fluent I am and how loyal I am.
Then he simply said We will let you know your result next week.
(Refer http://www.indiabix.com/hr-interview/questions-and-answers/ for HR basic questions. )
After 6 days I got mail that I got selected.
It was a great feeling. Out of 1200 students, only 51 got selected.
Best of luck guys :)
