Wipro Technologies Interview Experience - Future Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata, 14th September 2015
On the first day, We had met the officials of Wipro Tech in our college auditorium and had pre placement talk. They discussed about the Wipro's evolution. The whole placement team came from Bhubaneswar and two or three people were from Kolkata.
After the ppt they have announced that the students who has 75% throughout his/her academic career are exempted from the aptitude round. They just need to appear for a technical ability test. It consisted 14 technical questions related to C, JAVA, DS and basic computing and was of 17 minutes. I was one of that C75 or the topper category. The test was conducted by "Aspiring Minds".
After the test the result was declared at the afternoon and just after that the technical interview round started.
The aptitude round for the non-topper category student took place after our technical test was over. Their technical interview and HR round was conducted the later day.
This day was too much hectic. I entered the room at 11. 30 pm for my technical round. The interviewer was firstly stumped seeing my resume. He was pretty much impressed for that. After that he asked me to write a program to convert a temp in both the C and F scale in JAVA. I have written that. After that he started to confuse me by asking my non-departmental subjects like OS. Being an ECE student I know the basics rather basics of basics of OS. He was throwing one after one questions and I was also answering whatever I could taking no time. After asking around 5-6 questions he asked me about the relocation. I told that I am already out of my home for the last 3 years for my studies hence I don't have any problem. Lastly he told me to wait for HR round. I thought that I wouldn't be selected because it was not that satisfactory interview but I got selected for the HR round.
Next, you wouldn't believe that I went for my HR round at 3.30 am. On that day. Luckily the person who took my tech round he was the HR then. I entered the room and he didn't ask me any single question and let me go. That's all folks.
After 8 days the result came and I got placed at Wipro Tech.
P.S - Wipro is very much worried about the marks, . So, Please study little more to get good marks and they also wants sound coding knowledge rather than the subjective knowledge. So Please practice the basics of C and JAVA. You can surely crack the interview.
