Wipro Interview Pattern - Pune, 28 Jan 2011

I reached till the HR round of the placement drive. Waiting for their response. I would like to share my experience.


Round 1:
Verbal section: Synonyms (I found very difficult to ans them, pure guessing was done by me)
Antonyms (Same as above)
Paragraph rearrangement. Quite easy if u r comfortable with your English.
Idioms and phrases. Average to answer.
Sentence correction. average difficulty level.
Each of the above section consisted of 4 ques. 4 X 5 = 20 ques of verbal.

Quant section.: 20 ques
Numbers and ages,
Probability,
Permutation and combination,
Train and distances,
Time and work,
Clocks and calendars,
Ratio n proportion,
Percentages,
Simple interest n compound interest,
Profit n loss,
partnerships,
Pipes n cisterns,
Boats and streams.
(Average to difficult level, needs dedication and preparation. This could be your strongest part to score)

Technical section: 10 Ques
Very easy if you have completed your Grad. sincerely.
Questions abt printers, language used for AI etc. really easy if you are thorough with concepts.

No -ve marks in test.

Round 2:
Essay writing: Excess population in India is problem or an advantage. 10 mins to write. Not necessary to fill pages. Just write something in good English.

Round 3:
Tech intrvw:
Easy easy. Just be clear abt basic concepts of SE. Ques abt SDLC. If u say u like java, be sure that you know atleast basics of it.
I was asked to write a prog to reverse a string and replace a character in string. Simple. Be confident.

Round 4:
You cannot prepare for this round. They r very smart. Just b urself. I was asked to introduce myself. HR asked me my family background etc. Be good with your English. If u r here, i think u r 99% done.
