Tech Mahindra Interview Experience - Jaipur, January 30, 31 2014.
First of all a big thanks to IndiaBIX.com for helping me out in each & every round of the selection process.
The company came to our campus on January 30, 2014. We were told to gather in Seminar Hall for pre-placement talks. There they told us about the company, working culture and other details. Then they gave a demo about how the online aptitude test will be conducted.
After that an online test started. 274 students attended it. There were 170 questions in 80 minutes time. 100 marks English (Vocab and Grammar) , 50 marks verbal and nonverbal reasoning and 20 for aptitude (Quantitative). The test was quite easy. Just follow exercises based on above topics on IndiaBIX.com it will be helpful.
After 20 minutes of test completion results were announced. 112 students out of 274 were shortlisted.
After that we were given a blank paper with topic written on top of it. We were asked to write 100-300 words on the topic. It was to check grammar and writing skills. 16 students were rejected after this round and 96 were shortlisted.
Then a 5 minutes English Speaking ability test was conducted. In this he asked normal questions like 'Tell me about yourself', 'Why should be hire you', 'Why Tech Mahindra?' etc. 8 students were eliminated in this round.
After that there was Technical Interview. It was about your skills, Project done and Training. Non CS/IT guys were not asked about programming. They were asked questions based on their Resume. Be prepared about your Project, Training and Skills written on Resume.
Finally 75 students were shortlisted for Final HR round.
In that round he didn't ask any conventional HR round question. He was just having normal conversation. It was all about communication skills and confidence.
Finally after a long wait of 11 hours after my final interview results were announced and I was 1 among the 62 students placed.
So be confident, be good at English writing and speaking and Go for it !
All the best !
