Tech Mahindra Interview Experience - Hyderabad, Jan 11, 2014
I attended tech Mahindra written test at MRCET on 10th jan and the time of the slot was 4.30PM but however at that time the 12.30PM slot were still writing their exam so we were made to sit in an auditorium for more than 2 hours they had really tested our patience and finally at 7.00 PM we were called for the test.
They were 4 Rounds in total.
1) Aptitude Test : We need to fill some personal details first and then start the test and they were 170 questions in total and time limit was 80 mins and the strategy in order to clear this test is quite simple attempt English section first and this section is subdivided into few sections like fill in the blanks, choose the appropriate article etc and try to complete this section in 20 Mins Believe me it is possible if you are good in english and then attempt verbal reasoning and non verbal reasoning comprising number series, coding & Decoding, Blood relation etc.
Caution: There will be a sectional cutoff that is in English Section Out of 100 questions min of 60 Marks and then in aptitude out of 70 Minimum of 40 Marks is the cutoff, There is nothing like these many students are selected from a batch if you secure the cutoff then you are eligible to proceed to further rounds and in my batch, the results were announced in 10 mins out of 500 total of 20 were selected so beware prepare your strategies carefully as this is the major elimination round.
After this round we were made to fill some forms containg your personal details and then we need to attach our resume and educational documents Remember try to carry all the documents as mentioned in the admit card to avoid the last minute tensions.
2) Essay Writing: The topics gets repeated and for us the topic was "What role doess luck play in life" try to maintain a good handwriting as questions are posed in technical interview too apart from HR and try to give a brief overview of your essay when the interviewer ask you. And it was 8.35 PM we were asked to leave for the day and report at 11.00AM next day.
3) Technical Interview: Follow a simple rule maintain eye contact, confidence and a pleasant smile and also you need to have a moderate communication skills and the questions for ECE were from project and simple C programs but I was not asked anything related to technical as he was pretty impressed with my profile and I finished it in just 15 mins and then immediately the result will be known that if you are through this round you will be asked to wait for next round else we have to leave for the day.
4) HR Round: Never think that HR is light because candidates with exceptional profiles were rejected by showing off their attitude and he has the power to do so please be beware and just relax and answer the general routine questions posed answer them patiently and the result will be known that is HR will inform you about your selection.
That's all friends tried to give your best and rest leave it to GOD.
Hope this might be helpful. :).
