Hello friends,

TCS has one of the easiest interview processes among all other companies. It's very easy to get placed in it.

First round is as usual written test which consists of 4 sections. First 3 sections you'll be having negative marks for multiple choice questions so be careful while attempting and there will be no negative marks for fill in the blanks. And coming to programming they won't consider it much so first be thorough with first 3 sections. Indiabix is enough for the preparation of first three sections, sometimes you may get direct bits from IndiaBix(I got  one).

1. Quantitative Aptitude.
2. Logical Reasoning.
3. Verbal.
4. Programming.

2nd round is technical interview you'll be asked basic questions from the topics you mentioned in your resume. I mentioned Java so they asked me from Java like overload, override, palindrome program and while speaking be confident I wrote overriding program wrong but I was selected for the next round.Asked some basic concepts in software engineering told. Some basic concepts in networking I told them I am not aware of those. Though I don't have good communication skills, I think my confident speaking made me got selected for next round. And I asked feedback they told the same you need to improve your communication.

3rd round is HR +MR:

Here also the same confidence and presence of mind that matters. As I mentioned more coding part in my resume he asked in which language do you code, I said C he asked y c I told I was habituated to that. He scolded a little bit as I am using the old language which no more used. Then I said I am also gud in Java. Then he said I'll give you one task in Java will you do? Obviously I said yes and asked which task then he said UI then I asked for designing UI y Java we can use html know then again he scolded by saying I can design far good UI than html using servlets If you don't know means you should keep quiet why are you speaking like this.

And He gave me a situation where I should  take the help of my of my colleague(HR who is next to MR) as I am not getting a solution for the problem, I tried but I was not able to impress the HR. All the above questions were asked by MR. Now HR asked some basic questions like night shifts, any location etc for which I told yes. And I asked feedback he told me to improve all the things which are necessary for a software engineer/developer.

Finally I got the result That I am selected after two days.

Main points to remember are,

1. Confidence(though you are wrong speak confidently or speak confidently I don't know)
2. Ask questions in which interviewer explained or asked, this shows your attentive listening.
3. Some basic programming concepts.
