TCS Interview Experience - Pune, 8 Feb 2018
I would like to share my interview experience with all of you.
I have attended off campus drive of TCS on 31st January 2018. First of all there was aptitude test consisting of 3 sections- verbal ability, quantitative aptitude, programming languages. In first section there was one question of email writing having given phrases to use. You have to write minimum 50 words and the time limit was 10 minutes. In quantitative aptitude there were 30 questions including 1 Mark and 2 mark questions. In programming section there were 10 questions for 20 minutes. There is section wise time allotted and you have to cleared all three sections.
Result came on 2nd February 2018 and I have cleared the test. So, I got the email regarding face to face interview to be held on 8 th February 2018. There were 12 panels taking interviews in different rooms. My interview was taken by 2 people. First round went for 50 minutes in which they asked all questions related to electrical and electronics as my branch was electronics and telecommunication.
The interview was started with formal introduction and questions related to my hometown and college. They asked me questions on sports as I was interested in it and I have mentioned in resume. Other sir asked me technical and managerial questions. Like what is difference between led and LCD, CRT tube, again on motor, transformer, rectifier, inverter, resistance, current, capacitor, difference between cdma and game, which one is better and why.
They also asked questions about programming languages. Simple questions so be prepared for that. They asked questions from your answers. So be careful while answering and prepare well for the counter questions. They asked about 3 phase wire and neutral, electricity coming to our home in which form. In earlier times how connection failure was detected in phase wires. They asked me managerial round questions like your college is more competitive and your boss praises him more. What you will do? and questions like you are given a seven gram gold bar. A worker works 7 days of the week and you have to give him one gram of gold at the end of every day as a reward. You can only make two cups to 7 gram gold bar. How you will do it? Give the answer of all questions calmly and stay positive if you haven't given the answer of all questions. It was all three rounds questions in one round only.
Second round was just normal as they want to know more about me and my thoughts. How I think. What I will do in a particular situation. They asked me for any questions. You can ask questions related to the job and about the feedback. Don't ask about salary. Lastly they ended the interview saying Nice to have conversation with you.
The result didn't came yet. I am waiting for the results.
