Tata Consultancy Services Interview - Bhopal, 13th Jan 2011

Hello friends,

I attended a TCS Interview & got selected. My branch is electronics & communication engineering. In my city TCS came in pool of five college & on 13 jan tcs conducted its ppt(seminar) in my college Technocrats institute of technology , TCS organized their selection process in three steps

1. Written test,
2. Technical & MR Round
3. HR Round.

TCS also provided facility of direct entry in 2nd round of technical interview to those students having top 5 positions in academic all semester from each branch, I was lucky that i was 7th  in merit still i got direct entry because three of top5 were absent. after seminar top 25 students from all branches had their interviews my chance came at 5.30p.m for technical & MR. round.

I was quite nervous because of immediate call for interview still I entered in room with full enthusiasm I wished to panel there were two members in the panel one for technical & other for observing management skills, they told to sit , first ques. was to describe my self including information related to academic , branch , family & strong points, one member asked me about my strong points to describe by giving examples from my own life.

Then they asked me question from my resume related to my achievements , project, training, as i m from non  it stream they ask me some general basic question on c & c++, after they asked me what is DBMS I gave them satisfactory answers question were on  basic levels of languages , why I want to come in IT industries, why tcs, why ec branch , they were very much interested in my project ( which micro controller , technique n what was my role in project ) how I manage for extra curricular activities,  as I'm joint secretory of my college club so they also asked about club, in last M.R. asked me- define work, ask to sell pencil, one situation reacting question that what will u do when ur boss tellu to switch  to finance section from technical. I gave all answers with full confidence and also took lot of time for think on question . at last they told me to ask one question from them then I asked them same question that what will they do if their boss ..... . they also gave me same answer that first they will convinced their boss.

After technical round i was full confident and at 2.00 am i got call for H.R round in this round they only asked about my hobbies  & interest & same why tcs , why should select you , as an enginner give one future research technique i gave them idea abt pico technology as ( nano technology). After two days of my interview I got offer letter.

So friends only you have to be confident about yourself , your resume, your project definitely you will be selected for TCS.

In MR Round questions will be almost like....

1) Tell about yourself which not in your resume.
2) What are your expectations from company?
3) What is your aim in life?
4) How do you plan to achieve it?
5) Any extra co-curricular activities?
6) Where you see yourself after 2 yrs?
