LG Soft India Private Ltd Interview Experience - NRI Engineering College, March 2015.

Posted By : Bhargavi Ati Rating : +134, -4
Hi All, I'm Bhargavi Ati of Computer Science Department from Ramachandra College Of Engineering, Eluru.

I am very happy that I was selected for LG Soft India Private Ltd. , and the initial package that they offered is 5.29 Lacs per annum.

The interview process will be entirely different from what we usually face!

First Round (Written Test) :

This Round is completely technical and we can choose one among C and JAVA. I have opted C. They will give 20 questions and the time limit is 90 minutes. Hence we can easily estimate the difficulty of the test. Much of the people got filtered in this round.

Second Round (Technical Group Discussion) :

Generally for any interviews we might have heard of having group discussions on general topics but for LG Soft it is completely different. They will give you a technical topic and would divide the crowd into 2 groups. They will give 10 minutes for one group to support their concept and in the same way other group too! What I felt was that it was more like a debate than a discussion. In this round they will not assess our Communication skills or Management Skills rather they would specifically analyze our technical knowledge. For us the topic was "Procedural Oriented Vs Object Oriented". I initially, thought that it was an easy topic to discuss but as it is a competition we will not easily get chance to express and support our words. Somehow I tried to convey the things that I know and actively participated in the discussion. After 10 minutes they will change the positions of the 2 groups and would ask you to speak. Now, we should be very careful. We should not repeat the points that were already mentioned by some other people. I confidently discussed with my competitors and somehow qualified in the second round.

Third Round (Technical Face to Face) :

This round decides your selection. If you are good at programming concepts you can easily qualify in this round but if you are an average programmer like me then you need to concentrate on certain concepts like "Pointers, structures, linked lists". Most of the questions are from linked lists. Just be thorough with the concepts then you can easily get through. The same thing happened for me. If you perform well in third round then you can directly go to HR Round otherwise you have to face another Technical Round. I performed well in the third round hence I was directly called for HR Round.

Fourth Round (HR Round) :

Once you get through the Technical round it will be very easy for you to prove yourself in HR! It will not span more than 5 minutes. I was asked about myself, family background, strengths, weakness. I answered well and they gave me a form to fill in with our personal details, etc. , They asked me to wait for some time and then they asked me to leave as they are busy in taking interviews of others and they told that they would mail me if I get selected. As said they sent me the offer letter in short span.

ALL THE BEST!
