L & T IES Interview Experience - Chennai, May 3, 2014
I want to share interview experience with L & T IES (TS) which was held in 3rd May 2014. It was an off campus. 1st of all I want to tell students that go for this company if you are ready to wait for june this year-December next year.
Their HRs will give you false promise like you will get joining in next batch, next month but will give you joining when they will have project. They recruit more than their requirement.
I was from Mechanical Engineering Background. 1st round was written. It consist of 3 parts.
i. Aptitude & Reasoning ii. Mechanical Apti. iii. Mechanical engineering question.
There was no -ve marking. Total time was 1hr 10 minute.
i) Quantitative apti - having 15 question and they were easy.
English - having 20 simple question. Like fill up, error detecting and comprehension.
Reasoning - having 15 question. Like series, cube (almost fully pictorial reasoning).
ii) Mechanical Aptitude- 60 Mechanical aptitude question which were from your 4 years of engineering & not that much difficult if you are in regular touch with them.
iv) Mechanical - having 15 basic question of engg first year physics (its mandatory for everyone).
Nearly 400 people had given interview only 80 could made it.
Next round was GD. They split students in batch of 15 students each.
In my GD topic was Indian Politics. In GD they select the students who are.
Consistent to one side. From the GD only 3 people had got selected.
Next round was Technical interview.
This is a purely technical round. The HR saw my CV & asked me 2 of my favorite subject. She asked me about.
Gear Design, cfd analysis, Heat transfer, About my academic project etc etc.
I got selected in that round. If you are selected in Technical round means you are through. Last HR round is just a formality.
In HR round she asked me about my CGPA, n some questions like have you any problem to relocate etc etc.
Finally I got selected. The results were declared next day.
