L&T TS (IES) Interview Experience - Baroda, DECEMBER 29, 2014

Hi friends, I am Krishna Mistry. I attended L&T TS campus drive in our college MSU, baroda. It was for electronics and computer science guys.

It was superb experience. One thing is that many rejection will bring one selection, continue your efforts and polish yourself as much as possible.

On 29 dec, they came to our college, first we have ppt. Listen all the points of presentation and ask question if you have any doubt.

After that we had Written test.

In that there was five sections.

1) Qua. Aptitude (20 que.).
2) Reasoning (Pictorial que-15 que).
3) Verbal (20 que).
4) Mechanical que.
5) C lang que (Based on output, Not multi choice que).

I have attended C lang que first carefully, than other sections. Test was good and for me its easy. But you should have basic funda of C lang clear. Particularly pointers, increment, decrement operator, structure etc.

At 4.30 P.M. They have announced the result. We 7 from computer are selected in apti. After that we had group discussion. In group discussion, Do not see at HR at a single point and listen to all thought you do not have any idea for given topic. Its good impression. In our group all the member spoke equally, so they told everyone to speak anything for 2 to 3 min which was not in Resume. At that time what came in my mind, I spoke that with full confidence.

Then at 8 P.M. , gd result announced. 3 Students from computer were selected, I was one of them. 2nd day on 30 Dec, we had to go at company for technical and HR interview (In baroda). At 11.00 P.M. , they started interview. Interviewer was taking interview from bombay on video conference. When my turn came, I went into the room and wished him Good Morning. Then interview was started. Questions were.

What is your project in last semester?

Why you have used java in project?

Why java gives more security?

What is abstraction?

What is interface?

Operator overloading and overriding.

Binary search with any real life example and prerequisite for it.

All the normalized form in database with example.

Doubly linked list.

Dynamic memory allocation in linked list.

Pass by value and pass by reference with example.

Concept of bytecode, jvm.

Current semester project detail which was in .Net.

Keys in database.

Wrapper classes, why we need.

Type casting.

There were other question but I did not able to recall now. One thing if you do not have any clear idea about answer then say no clearly. And if possible then try to explain everything with real life example. At the end of the interview if you have any good question then ask. Thought you do not have any que, just ask for suggestion, it will be very helpful in other interview, if you do not get selected in this. The interviewer gave me suggestion to speak little slow and polish the funda of interface.

Then in HR interview, I was asked about family background and hobbies.

Do not say common hobbies, which all are having. I have my unique hobby of learning proverbs in gujarati. She asked me to tell one proverb and to explain it in english.

In HR interview, at that time she said, " YOU ARE SELECTED, CONGRATULATION".

I can not explain, what was the feelings at that time.

Best of luck.

It will be my pleasure, if this experience is helpful to you.
