L&T ECC PATTERN - 09 APR 2007 - KOLKATA

Hi Friends

This is Abhishek Kar, student of B-Tech (Electrical 3rd year F.I.E.M)

On 9th April 2007 M/S L&T(ECC) had conducted a pool campus. Probably more than 15 colleges were there. And more than 700 students were there.

There was a WRITTEN TEST OF 96 QUESTIONS (Time:40+40=80min). AND IT WAS DIVIDED INTO TWO PARTS.

PART A : (40 min) 36 QUESTION FROM NON-VERBAL REASONING. Each was very easy. Any one can do it.
PART B : (40 min) 60 QUESTION FROM MECHANICS. To attempt this questions u need basic knowledge in Mechanics.

The Questions were very conceptual. There were 6 question from gear, 2 question from pascals law, 5 question from center of gravity and so on.

The Students were scheduled in 4 Batch (for aptitude test). There were almost 120 Students in the 1st batch. From which only 8 had cleared the aptitude test.

In 2 nd batch there were almost 150 students and only 13 had cleared the aptitude test. I dont know anything about the rest two batch.

I was eliminated from aptitude test. I attempt 52 questions (confidently). probably the cut off was more than that.

I would like to advise everyone that they recruit only the students who are technically very sound. So focus on your technical part. Example: If you are an Electrical Student Then try to focus on Electrical Machins, Power System, Machine designing, Basic Electrical etc)
