L&T INFOTECH PATTERN & INTERVIEW - 15 MAY 2007 - WEST BENGAL
I Have attended the pool campus drive held by L&T Infotech in MCET IN Berhampore, Murshidabad, WB.
There were altogether 3 rounds.
It consists of 90 questions to be answered in 90 minutes. There were 3 sections 30 questions each with no negative marking. though they didn't mention but I think there were sectional cut-off.
Section 1 :-
it consisted of general quants. very easy but be concerned with the time. try to know the shortcuts of some problems to solve them in the time. matices, determinants, di and simple series were there.
it consisted of logical questions only.r.s. Aggarwal willbe a healthy practice for u. but u also need the confidence to crack the questions in time.
it was all general english. Vocabulary was almost easy as u guys use frequently. others were fill in the blanks with correct forms and passage which were damn easy.
Be confident and be aware of the time management bcoz this will get u to the next round.
now GD is a round of luck, I have often heard, but ur confidence and spoken skills and above all ur behaviour will get u through. although lnt goes for extempore but ours were gd as no. Of candidates were less. ours topic was "is india eligible for hosting events like olympics, asiad" etc. The gd started with a fish market atmosphere. I was not the initiator but I started after 5 mins when the situation went out of control. I almost controlled the group and gave some new points to discuss with. be loud and clear nobody will allow u to speak but at the same time behave urself. never fingerpoint anyone or beat the desk. be confident and u r through. our group consisted of 20 and finally 10 got through. the lnt personnel appreciated my leadership skills at the end and I confidently qualified to the next round.
The profile interview was cool. some panels were asking general technical questions such as diff between c & c++, normalization, data structures etc. my panel was the hr head and there were no technical questions.
When I entered the room the int. looked at me with crooked eyebrows as if he was angry or dissatisfied. After allowing me to sit he asked me why have I written 12th standard as educational qualification in the hr form where others have written b.tech. I answered" sir I haven't received my b.tech certificate yet so...". he raised his eyebrows and answered "yes!! Excellent u r extremely logical". My confidence got boosted and I thought I had won half the battle. then asked me questions from the hr form. about my hobbies strengths and weaknesses. be confident with ur answer and always support it by examples. be complete never allow the int. to mug you. Next he gave me some puzzles as I have written solving puzzles as my hobby. I Cracked them with ease. next he asked me "who came out with ap (arithmetic progression)". I answered "newton". he told me to prove the summation formula of ap. I proved it with ease and he was pleased and gave me a bright smile. next he gave me two situations and my reactions to that. Be confident and positive here. other than this general questions such as why choose LnT, about my family were also there. Remember one very important thing - maintain ur eye contact throughout the pi with the interviewer. Then after a firm handshake he told me to wait outside for results.
Before announcing results they gave us the ppt. They offered 2.2 lacs in training and after 1 yr it is 2.97 lacs. but I think on review this will increase. Finally,
Appeared for the pool- 497.
Got the offer letter-27.
I was given the offer letter and I was ecstatic. thank god. this was my third pool campus with no on campus whatsoever as our college couldn't arrange for us. all my other friends got selected much earlier who read in private colleges. ours was a deteriorated govt. College and we suffered a lot. only three from our college is placed so far in 3rd yr. With 2 getting selected in lnt. So friends ur confidence and vigilance is ur power. no worry one day we all will be placed. Best of luck. thank u for reading my looong letter.
