L&T INFOTECH PATTERN - 03 APR 2007 - KOLKATA
4 departments were allowed to appear in the aptitude test- CSE, IT, ECE and AEIE.
In the apti paper 3 sections were there-
2)Logical, Verbal and Non-Verbal
Strictly follow the R.S.Agarwal for the first 2 sections. English portion was a bit tough and it is basically based on the 12th standard CBSE english .
Around 1700 students were there in the aptitude test and only 35% (probarbly) of them was able to clear the apti. There was three sets of paper in the test and all three contains different questions. Still a candidate willing to get through must be efficient on the following points-
1)permutation and combination
4)matrix and determinant
6)analytical reasoning-counting triangles and squares
7)total logical reasoning specially in syllogism
Questions on time & distance, pipes & cisterns, time & work etc was also there but these were very easy. 90 questions were there and time alloted was 1.5 hrs.
After the aptitude test an extempore was arranged in which the students were allowed to choose their own topic and I think this the best part of the whole selection procedure in which you can create the impression. After clearing the apti Only 20% (approximately) of the students was able to clear this round. After this a HR round was arranged.
1)If you dont have proper communication skill please do not try to clear the apti because in the extempore round you must perform and you must be able to express yourself logically in the extempore.
2)Be cool and try to hold on your nerves during the extempore..if you can do it you can certainly get through to HR.
3)Dont make any predefined answers for the HR round.Remember you have to fill up a form before the HR round and fill it up carefully because HR can ask questions from the datas you have given in this form.
4)Show your high level of confidence in the HR. there will be no technical questions in the HR.
