Infosys Interview Experience - BIT Mesra, Ranchi, 6 & 7 October 2015
If your aptitude round get cleared, there is huge chance that you'll get selected.
Each section has sectional cut-off and yeah the most important thing Infosys take their own online test i.e. nothing like AMCAT, MERIT TRACK, COCUBES etc. The level of aptitude was good but one can manage. English section the main deciding criteria as there are 40 questions in 35 minutes and in remaining two sections you have sufficient time to solve it over there.
Around 600 students appeared for the first round, all branches allowed with an eligibility criteria of 0 current backlogs. 303 students cleared the first round. They were now supposed to face one round interview, Infosys personnel call them Techno-HR interview.
Where the interview questions is totally dependent on Interviewer mood, it can be only HR, only technical or a mix-up of both technical & HR, what I have faced was a complete technical. One thing every interviewer seek that there must be at least one project relating to your branch need not be CS-IT sector if your branch is not among any of these.
My interview experience was bit bitter still what I was knowing that my aptitude score might have been pretty good that might be a factor that I got selected. And finally 189 students finally got selected.
There are 5 questions on a puzzle type passage in analytical-quants section out of 10 questions. It was somewhat different, not like the arrangement questions as posted in other experiences still you must practice all of them of somewhat good level.
