I'll try be concise with my narration about our Infosys Campus Drive.

Read Carefully.

Aptitude test comprised of following sections.

$ Logical Reasoning: 15 questions (25 minutes).

1. Syllogism. (5-6 Questions)
2. Data Sufficiency. (5 Questions)
3. Data Interpretation. (4-5 Questions)

$ Quantitative Aptitude: 10 questions (35 minutes).

You must know ALL the basics from R.S. Agrawal.

There was a puzzle and five questions on that.
(It was a Data arrangement question with 7 different fruits and if they are arranged in certain given manner which fruit's juice is going to be taken next..Something like that..And Yes It was complicated).

The other five questions were from other math concepts like:

1. Number System(Number Series).
2. Ratios and Proportions.
3. Coding-Decoding (Arithmetic Reasoning).
4. P & C.
5. Probability.

$ Verbal Ability:  40 questions (35 minutes)

1. Sentence Correction.
2. Error Spotting.
3. Vocabulary Questions.
4. Critical Reasoning.
5. Passages : Short and Long.

NOTE : Sections are going to appear in same order but the questions in those sections may or may not appear in the same order.

My Tips on cracking the test :

$ For Reasoning :

1. For Syllogism best method is Venn Diagram Method. Yes I know it consumes lot of time to make those ridiculous circles. But it gives you surety about your answer.

Or

You can try "" and  "- method
or that 100 - 50 method to solve them effectively which consumes less time.

2. Just Do DI from R.S. Agrawal.

3. For Data sufficiency just sharpen your mind about numbers i.e. prime, even, odd, integrals or non integrals, properties of numbers etc..
And keep solving and practicing questions from Indiabix and Books.

$ For Quantitative :

You need to hit Bullseye in these 10 questions and trust me those 35 minutes are not sufficient if you're weak in quant.
Keep practicing "Challenging Questions" because these 10 Questions are NO JOKE.

$ For Verbal Reasoning:

This is part where most of the people Stumble. This section is the deciding factor for those who are utterly weak in English.

See..no teacher can teach you English unless you don't REALLY want to...just don't run away from it..embrace it. (I am telling you this because most of my friends do it and it didn't end really well for them)

$ Following points may help you:

1. Watch English movies, dramas etc
2. Read Books and News Papers etc
60% of work is done if you do above things.

It will help you in grammar, sentence correction and error spotting.
(skip these points if the Test is on its verge)

Remaining 40% depends on your practice.

3. If you're skipping 1-2 points and the test is on the verge then you must Refer IndiaBix for English..you can easily find every single important topic here...but you need to practice a lot.

4. Solve "Critical Reasoning" from IndiaBix and books because even the guys with good English find it difficult sometimes.

5. Work on your "Reading and understanding" Speed for Passages.

Most Important Tip is: Refer Google & YouTube for every other question you got..Watch YouTube videos for Reasoning, Quant and even Verbal and I assure you that you're going to nail the test.

That's all about the aptitude test.

Results were declared at around 9PM..I was selected for the Interview process.

My Interview Experience:

Hall Boy : You're being summoned in Interview Room #4
Me: Alrighty mate.

Me: May I come in Sir ?
Interviewer: Yes Come In.

He Didn't asked me to sit so I asked..

Me: May I sit down Sir ?
Int: Yeah Sit Down.

He introduced himself and slipped in the obvious question..

Int: Tell me about yourselves..

I was confident that I can easily answer the simplest question ever..but as I started and after few seconds I forgot what to say next and it was outta nowhere..I guess I was anxious after all..maybe I was overconfident..maybe my last minute changes in my introduction messed up my flow..(I want to be completely honest here because it may help ya'll.)

There was an awkward pause of about 10 seconds..I collected my thoughts and started..
It went pretty good after that 10 second pause.

Int: Ok good, so why do you want to get in IT Industry being an EC student ?
Me: Told him.

Int: Do you have any IT knowledge ?
Me: Told him.

Int: Tell me about OOPS.
Me: Told him with 3 of its basic concepts.

Int: Do you know any programming ?
Me: Yes Sir I do.

He didn't ask any code..I was kind of hoping he would..

Int: What kind of extracurricular activities are you into ?
Me: Told him.

Int: You mentioned Your Sense of Humour is good..Tell me some instances.
Me: Told him 2 instances.

Int: What other things you do in extracurricular ?
Me: Told Him.

Int: What were your favourite Subjects in School Xth grade Particularly ?
Me: Told him. I've always been a Science-guy.

He then asked my marks in Science and Math in Xth class..
I Answered.

Int: What do you know about e-governance ?
Me: Told Him.

Int: What's SDLC ?
Me: Sorry Sir,I don't actually know this one..(I read it in a hurry & I forgot this one)

He explained SDLC to me. I nodded as he did..while maintaining an eye contact.

Int: Alright, we're done here good luck for results.
Me: Thank-you Sir, But I want to ask a question.

Int: Alright go ahead.

I asked the question and he answered me in a witty way I guess...He said "you'll know when you'll join us, let it come to that first"

Me: Alright thank you Sir.

As I stared to get up I said "It's been an honour talking to you" I don't know It came out of nowhere.

As I left the interview room I had this "Nostalgic" Feeling..I was thinking that I messed it up. The interviewer guy was really aged around 55-65 years..and he wasn't acting friendly at all..I mean from the very beginning he was acting like a hard boiled professional..and he never maintained any eye contact and kept browsing through my profile..here and there.

I was really nervous about the results.

But the Result was in my favour.
I made it, I didn't believe it at first but yeah my name was there in the list..and it was at the 10th position from the top.

I thought I messed up..but I actually caught up with him...he liked my speaking skills and the manner I talked to him.

126 Students were sorted out in aptitude test from approximately 800 students.
and 86 were placed after interview.

Finally I want you to know the Following things :

1. See hardships come and go..they aren't permanent.
This was my 3rd attempt of getting placed and Infy was my 1st preference
I cleared it...and so can you.

2. Believe in yourself.

3. A Big Thanks to IndiaBix for always being there. B]

Lastly, I never say this all the time, but now I'd like to say it that I am proud to be an LNCTian.

- Thank you bearing with my narration..Peace out.
