Infosys Interview Experience - Sreedevi womens college, 27th October, Hyderabad
There are 3 sections in the written:
1st section consists of 5 questions from Data Interpretation, 5 from Data Sufficiency and 5 questions from a topic which is not syllogism but some kind of logical deductions and the time is 25 minutes.
2nd section consists of 5 questions from Quant and one logical puzzle related to Seating arrangements, Ranking, Family puzzles etc and the time is 35 minutes.
3rd section consists of 40 questions from Verbal and the time is 35 minutes.
Manage your time in verbal as it is the eliminator. So, concentrate more on this section. On the same night I got a mail asking me to come for the interview on next day.
On 27th the actual time slot given to me was 11:30 am but my turn came at 5 pm in the evening.
My interview lasted for 15 minutes and HR asked me more about my projects and some basic questions like why Infosys?, being an electronics student why do you want to join us etc etc. 99% of the questions will be from your resume, so prepare your resume in such a style that you should be safe not putting yourself in trouble. After a long wait of 20 days I got my offer letter on 19th November. My date of joining is on 8th December.
So, here are some suggestions/tips for those who are going to give their test/interview
- As there is sectional cutoff you have to be careful in all the sections. Just know the pattern of each section and have a idea of the topic.
- Concentrate more on Verbal section as it is the eliminator.
- If you are a non IT/CS student just have some idea of basic C programs and concentrate more on your projects.
- The HR's of Infy are so cool and polite. So, never show attitude in front of them and the most important thing is that don't try to bluff the HR about anything. For example, if you don't know anything like a program/logic never hesitate to say no. That would be a better choice rather than bluffing or pretending.
Finally, all the best to you guys. See you guys at Mysore.
