Infosys Interview Experience - Chennai, November 10, 2014
The Written test consists of three sections :
(a) Arithmetic Reasoning and Analytical Thinking.
(b) Mathematical Critical Thinking and Logical Reasoning.
(c) Verbal Ability.
a and b are quite easy, if you are good at Aptitude and Reasoning. It will consist of Data Interpretation, Time and Distance, Permutation and Combination, Boats and Streams, Ratio, Percentage and Ages.
The Verbal ability is tricky, you will have 35 mins for 40 questions. It has two big reading comprehension, so better answer all the other questions and then attend the reading comprehension time management is pretty important in this part.
Our results were mailed on 9th November nearly at 9pm. 400 or less were shortlisted and I am one among them.
The next day was the HR round at the same college. My slot was 1.30 pm luckily didn't wait for more time, had interview at 3.45 pm.
Entered the room and we shook hands and the HR introduced himself to me, and I had my seat.
HR: Ok, are you comfortable shall we start.
Me: Yes sir.
HR: Meanwhile, I do the formalities you introduce yourself.
Me: Started and told everything (He was listening to my name and about my family and didn't listen to anything after that).
HR: Hmm fine, Can you tell me some of the IT trends.
HR: The toughest that you ever made in your life.
HR: Gave me a paper and asked me to write Fibonacci series program.
When I took my pen he said there should not be any errors, and I said there won't be any, he asked 100% confident. I said yes.
HR: Ok good, so you are from CS, so can you explain how quick sort works.
Me: Somehow managed to explain it whit 7 numbers, but it was not fully correct and I told him that too.
HR: Hmmm Ok, then he started to ask about my personal life and hobbies and then he said ok, hope we will meet, all the best.
Then again we shook hands and I came out.
Results came after 2 weeks and I was selected. Thanks to god.
Friends, if you clear the written test then you are 95% into Infosys, during HR they only see your communication and confidence level.
Prepare well about your project, many were asked about it, but not to me.
