INFOSYS Interview Experience - Bangalore, Sept 29, 30 2014
There were 2 rounds,
The drive was of 2 days, i.e on the first day, we had PPT and written round. The shortlisted candidates (173 attended and 85 were shortlisted for the 2nd round).
On the 2nd day, we had PI and finally 62 (i was one among them) were selected.
It consisted of 3 parts to usual 2.
1) Arithmetic reasoning (15 questions 25 min).
5 questions on Syllogisms (very easy).
5 questions on data sufficiency ( easy but bit tricky).
5 questions on data interpretation (was tricky).
2) Quantitative (10 questions 35 min).
1 on number sequence, 1 on alpha sequence, 2 tough questions on Permutations and combinations, 1 on time and dist, 1 puzzle with 5 questions.
3) Verbal (40 questions 35 min).
The only tough part. Tough because of time management.
2 big in fact huge passages (RC) which were damn easy with 5 questions each on them. My suggestion is go leave this to the end. And see that you have at least 10 min to solve them.
It also contained questions on Theme deduction, Sentence correction, Fill in the blanks. Try and finish this part within 25 min or less so that you have ample time for RC. Over all paper was not difficult at all.
TIP: There are number videos available on YouTube which were of great help to me. You just need to select a proper video. Also lot of material is available on INDIABIX, so please do use it. And make sure You take as many tests as possible before your Placement Drive.
As I am a student of Mechanical. I was not asked too many questions on C.
But they did ask me few Mechanical Domain questions which were very easy.
The interview in INFOSYS is very easy, you don't need to worry a lot on it usually.
You just need to go in with a clear calm mind. Just show that you are CONFIDENT and that possess COMMUNICATION skills that's more than enough.
Be sure with your projects because most of the questions were asked on that itself. And everything else was about " tell me about yourself ", " did u face any failures in life and how did you overcome them ", " any situations in your life where you had to make a really tough decision ".
It is going to be easy. So prepare well. I wish Every one ALL THE VERY BEST.
THANKS to IndiaBix which helped me a lot.
