Hello Friends,

Infosys visited our college campus (SGSITS) on 16th and 17th September 2013.

Around 450 students appeared for online written test it consists of two sections

1) Logical reasoning- 30 questions in 40 minutes. This section consists of:

a. 5 questions on Data sufficiency (Easy).

b. 5 questions on Data Interpretation (Easy).

c. Two puzzles each containing 5 questions (Average).

d. 5 questions on syllogism (Difficult).

e. 5 questions on non verbal reasoning (Find next figures, analogy) (Easy).

In all this section is of average difficulty. I have only marked 15 questions correctly and rest 15 questions I have just marked "A" option because of shortage of time.

2) English - 40 questions to be solved in 40 minutes. This section consists of:

a. 2 Big passages each containing 5 questions- I personally suggest you to read this passage because questions based on them were very easy. Once you read you can answer every question of it.

b. Theme deduction about 7 questions were asked Solve Rs Agrawar for this part.

c. Rest questions were on Fill in the blanks (7-8) with suitable words, error correction, (7-8) , Fill in the blanks with preposition etc.

The overall difficulty level is high but if you are good in English you can easily solve this section.

At around 11 pm result was announced, 186 cleared written test Including me.I think cut off was around 50% for both the sections.

Next day Interviews were from 8 Am.

This time Infosys decided to conduct two interviews (HR+ basic Technical). HR team was very large consists of around 30 members.

HR interview:

1) Tell me about your school life, your achievements in school days ?

2) The activities in which you are involved in college days ?

3) Most Happy and Sad moments of your life ?

4) Difficulties you face in life, how you handle them ?

5) Minor project ?

6) Do you have any relocation problem ? etc

Technical Interview:

1) You are from Electronics Instrumentation then why you want to join IT company, why not any core company ?

2) Favorite subject ?

I told them sensors and transducers, explain what are they, what we mainly learn in
this particular subject.

3) Explain me construction of Digital thermometer ?

4) What is RTD ?

5) 2-3 Questions related to major projects in which I am presently working ?

6) Where are the centers of Infosys in India ?

I know only 2  Bangalore and Hyderabad.

7) Any questions for me ?

Technical was very simple everything is asked related to your core subjects only, So don't worry if you don't know C/C++. Just be confident. They mainly check your confidence level, communication skills and clarity of thought.

The same day around 10:40 pm results were announced out of 186 finally 145 made
Their Journey to Infosys.

Remember once you cleared the written test of Infosys there are 90% chances you can clear the interview.
