Hi all I am Ashok kumar. V from (PSG College of Technology) attended Infosys on 22nd september 2013 in Coimbatore.

I want share my experience with you.

Infosys consists of two rounds: the written test and a final HR. Clearing the written test implies that the chance of being selected to Infosys is Almost done. The written Test consists of two test patterns:

1. ANALYTICAL REASONING TEST.

QUESTIONS: 30.
DURATION: 40 MINUTES.

2. VERBAL ABILITY.

QUESTIONS: 40.
DURATION: 35 MINUTES.

The Aptitude reasoning test pattern is distributed into 6 different topics with 5.

Questions each as:.

1. PICTURE REASONING (5 questions).

In this section, a series of pictures are given which may consist of picture series,

Picture analogy or picture classification.

2. STATEMENT REASONING (5 Questions).

In this section, sequence questions like seating arrangement or money distribution.

Or height arrangement are given. A set of five questions are based directly on the Statements given.

3. DATA SUFFICIENCY (5 questions).

Here a set of two statements are given followed by 5 options which satisfy then Answer for the statements. You have to decide which option best suits the answer.

4. DATA INTERPRETATION (5 questions).

This section consists of a direct sequence of 5 questions based on the data which is provided in the form of table charts, bar charts, pie charts or line charts.

5. RELATION PROBLEM (5 questions).

This section consists of questions which are similar to the sets and relations like Students with biology, maths, physics and chemistry, maths and biology, only.

Physics, etc. , and questions related as such.

6. SYLLOGISM (5 questions).

This section consists of statement followed by two conclusions. We need to pick out From 5 options which suits the best answer.

The Verbal Ability test pattern is distributed into 5 different topics as:

1. SENTENCE CORRECTION (8 questions).

Among 4 sentences the correct one should be detected.

2. UNDERLINED A PART OF SENTENCE AND ASKED TO INSERT CORRECT PHRASE IN IT FROM THE GIVEN 4 OPTIONS (8questions).

3. FILL IN THE BLANKS (8 questions).

4. THEME DETECTION (6 questions).

5. TWO READING COMPREHENSIONS (10 questions).

Totally 700 attended among this 360 were shortlisted. I was one among them.

My technical interview:
(was 40 mins).

Int : Hai Ashok.

Me : Hello sir, good afternoon.

Int : Introduce yourself.

Me : Told.

Int : Tell me about your project.

Me : My project on microcontrollers and vlsi so, easy for me explain everything about my project.

Int: He asked what type of coding used in your project.

Me: Embedded c and vhdl & verilog.

Int : He asked me to rate in C Language out of ten.

Me: Because of an ece student, I rated 5/10.

Int: He asked me to write a code for Factorial using recursion.

Me: I wrote it and explained very clearly as much as possible.

Int: Then he asked every question on my projects like what are the difficulties you faced in your project.

Me: Told some bla. Bla.

Int : My second project was in VLSI domain so he asked me to write any vhdl code and explain the execution flow.

Me: I designed Full Adder and wrote vhdl code for it.

Int: He impressed by my way of explaining things.

Int : Again he go to the 3rd project which I was done using microcontroller.

Int: He asked me to write a code for multiplication without using mul function in 8051.

Me: I wrote it using repeated addition concept.

Int: He asked about my extra/co curricular activities.

Me : Me told.

Int: He asked so many questions on that.

Me: I responded very well.

Int : OK ashok you can leave. If any qns please ask.

Me : OK, I asked about infy work pressure, training, and something about it industries

Int : No, I want to work as programmer.

Int: He responded very well, .

Me : Thank you sir.

Int: Fine Ashok. Please wait.

I waited for 10 mins Then I was called for HR interview.

Me: I was shocked three gentlemen were sitting on that panel.

Me: May I come in sir.

Int: Please come in take your seat.

Me: Thank you sir.

Int : Asked my resume. Then tell me about your family.

Me: Told with little bit speed.

Int. Please stop. They asked me to talk slowly.

Me. Then I continued.

Int: Asked my career goals, difficulties faced in life in engineering, tell me some thing about infosys, and what you do in your spare time. Like this.

Me: Told everything.

Int: OK fine you can leave. If any qns ask.

Me: Asked.

Int: He said "yo can go now, wait for result".

Me: Thank you sir.

After a long waiting at 7 pm they declared results.

Infosys selected 302 out of 360 candidates.

They do not talk about by academics performance. Even I was only 7.00 cgpa.

So interview is mainly depends upon your performance on that particular period of time. Be confident. Trust yourself. Fine.

I am so lucky because my name is on that list. So be confident, always maintain smile on your face,
