Infosys - National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, 10th October 2011

Today (10-10-2011) Infosys came to our campus.  Its P.P.T. started at 9:30 am it continues to about 1 and 1/2 hours in which the they told us about its work culture, package,growth etc.during P.P.T.  They emphasize mainly on written test and told us that the interview is for only check ur behsviour that means if u r able to crack its written test then u can think there r 99%  chance of getting u into the infosys if ur luck favours little bit. then we moved to written test in which there were two sections one is reasoning ability and the other one is verbal ability.

Reasoning Ability:-
(1) Picture Series
(2) Direction sense test
(3) Data Sufficiency
(4) Data Interpretation
(5) Syllogism
(6)  one small puzzle

There were 5 questions on each topic mentioned above.it was damn easy u will have lots of time to do this section.in 40 minutes u have to solve 30 questions.better to prepare these topics from R.S.Aggaarwal Quantative aptitude and R.S.Aggarwal Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning.everyone can solve these questions.the main difficulty is to solve another section which is called Verbal ability.For this section u will have 35 minutes in ur hand to solve 40 questions.

Verbal Ability includes:-
(1) Error Detection-8 ques.
(2) Error Correction-8 ques
(3) Fill in the blanks-8 ques
(4) Theme Detection-6 ques
(5) Reading Comprehension-2 passages(10 ques.)

For above 1st three topics refer to any grammer books and for Theme Detection refer to R.S.Aggarwal reasoning.and offcourse for 5th topic its depend on ur inferencing capabilities.better to do 1st 4 topics early and after that attempt for the Reading Comprehension.

There were 156 students in the wriiten examanitaion from my college among them 81 were cleared the written test and finally 78 students were selected for infosys.i was among them thanks to india bix for giving all the informations related to infosys written test as well as interview....best of luck guys do prepare for english in a better fashion then and only then u can crack thewritten test.........our heartiest wishes to all the students appearing for infosys recruitment process.
