Infosys Interview Experience - Coimbatore, September 8, 2011

Hi friends,

Getting placed in infosys doesn't need hard work but smart work...........

I encountered a test as follows:

Written test:
Logical reasoning:40 mins
Verbal:35 mins

Logical reasoning:
visual reasoning : 5(very very easy)
simple puzzles :5(very very easy....like deepak was 23rd from bottom and 4rth from top...what is the strength of the class?all questions were like this only)
data sufficiency:5 (ok..not very easy ,it needed some calculations)
data interpretation:5(a bit tough...it dealt with gross profit,revenue and all....i was able to solve 3 only...)
data arrangement:5(very very easy...it was like 7 teachers teaching seven subs....damn easy)
syllogisms:5(easy..all had two statements only)


verbal:
rcs:2 rcs--10
both rc1 and rc2 were easy and they were not very big also...even the inference ques were easy...
theme detection:5(moderate level)
idioms and phrases :5
sentence correction :12
sentence improvement:8


for reasoning, refer "verbal and non verbal reasoning" by r.s.agarwal.
for verbal as ques were mostly from grammar,refer "objective eng" by hari manohar prasad...go thro the rules given in that book... there are abt 103 rules...practice the sets given in the book...thats enuf..


hr interview:

i had  two interviews...perhaps i was the only 1 who had two interviews,,others didn have...

1st interview:

it was very casual...
no tech ques were there...she jus asked me abt how i plan for my assignments,how i study,what were my extra curricular activities,hobbies and so on...........

2nd interview:

a stress one(don worry.... only i faced a stress interview)
i was made to go to another panel....
he made his best efforts to put me under stress..(as it was a stress interview)
stress interviews are conducted jus to test ur stress level....don worry if u r gonna face one...
if u r gonna face a stress interview,,its sure that u r gonna get selected provided u don breakdown in the interview!!!!!

at nite 9:45 ,the results were announced..my name was there among the 225 who got selected...
