INFOSYS PAPER & INTERVIEW - 25 NOV 2007 - CHENNAI
Rated : +0 , -0
Hi Friends

Infosys paper held at Chennai on 25-Nov-07.

The written exam was divided into two sections :
1) Aptitude (Refer VERBAL & NON VERBAL RS AGARWAL)
2) English (was general, but level is tough).

APTITUDE
It comprised of 30 questions to be solved in a span of 40 mins. As opposed to the regular trend we did not get any ques from cube and dices, though u should prepare it.

The sections we got are as follows :

1)Puzzle -consist of 5 persons whose hometown, place where they are working, class of dance which they like was to be find out on certain given hints.

2)this was a problem of 6 dices thrown together and some conditions was given, based upon that we have to find certain answers.

3)syllogism question was given-for that perpare logic chapter of R S Agarwal thoroughly.

4)this was a question from data interpretation in which a pie chart was given and we have to find certain answers. but the calculations are very tough. Dont waste much time in it.

5)Series - We were given 5 figures, we had to find the odd figure in series (Do SERIES, analogy-PART II Non verbal reasoning RS AGARWAL)

3)Data Sufficiency (Do DATA SUFFICIENCY-SECTION 1 General mental ability from RS AGARWAL)

ENGLISH
This section was tough and you need to prepare for it thoroughly. It comprised of 40 questions to be solved in a span of 35 minutes only.

One advice is that dont go on comprehensions at the first. Look at the other questions and if u have time then attempt RC part. Hari Mohan book is a good one for it and also GRE. the other questions include filling the right word, finding the error in a part of sentence, finding the inference of the passage, finding the most appropriate sentence of the given choices. thats it for English section.

INTERVIEW
My interview was not on the same day. they called the selected students to their office in Chennai ie Sholinganallur campus. The interview process is also a stressful one as they check u and your communication skills very deeply. just be prepared with the answers. its upon luck whether u wil be asked a puzzle or not. sometimes they ask and sometimes they dont.

For ex: Tell us something about Yourself
- Mention your current educational status i.e name of college, degree and special. Move on to emphasis on your skills. Support every skill with an example when asked for. For example if you mention you are good at team work. You may be interrupted by the interviewer and asked to explain that why you feel you are good at team work. Every strength, quality, weakness or any word you utter will be listened to sharply. So be prepared for an example and a statement to support it.

So be prepared and they have said to declare the results in 4-5 weeks. All the best my friends.
