Huawei Technologies Interview Experience - Coimbatore, October 1, 2015.
There were 5 rounds:
- Aptitude round.
- Programming Round.
- Technical 1 (interview).
- Technical 2 (interview).
- Hr (interview).
It was a pool campus placement where the Aptitude and Programming round was conducted by CoCubes in the respective colleges. The selected student were asked to come to a particular college for Technical and HR interview.
Round 1: (Aptitude):
In this round basic Aptitude question were asked similar to other companies aptitude paper and was slightly challenging paper as question was easy but required time management as few question required more calculation. We can see all the question at once so we were able to select question. I am not exactly sure with no of question and time but it was 40 question in 40 minute. Time management will be the key to qualify this round. In my college more than 50% student cleared the round.
Round 2: (Programming):
This round started soon after aptitude results were announced. In this round there were 3 question to solve in 1 hour. It was an easy round for those in touch with basic programs. Time was enough as I completed my test in 25 minutes I got all the 3 output. You can choose any programming Language (Ex: C, C++, Java, etc) and programs need to be efficient as we have to take care of processing time and memory, many of my friend did not got output because of this. You need to ensure minimum memory allocation such as array size and also Processing Time such as no useless iterations. Extra points were awarded for better program. The result were announced after 1 week and student with 2 output were also selected. Very few student qualified this round.
Round 3: (Technical 1):
After the announcement of result we had 4-5 days to prepare for the interview so we prepared a lot of Programming and other general technical question and truly it helped a lot. Technical was conducted at a particular college and student from various college came there. There were more the 100+ student from more than 50 colleges. My turn came late so we were able to interact with student who completed their first round. Technical round was a real difficult one. Where they asked question on many topics such as (Computer Architecture, Operating system, Programming, Networking, Software Engg) and a lot of puzzles and to write 4-5 programs. The interview was for more than 60 minute as there were more than 20+ panels and 2 days for conducting interview. I got to write 3 programs and than I was asked to explain 2 puzzles to solve, and a lot of technical questions. Both Technical 1 and Technical 2 were going parallel so they announce the result soon only 30-40% qualified this round.
Round 4: (Technical 2):
This was similar to the previous round and was for 2 hour (almost). It was similar to technical 1 but they had more Tech questions, more puzzle and many question on projects completed. He asked to explain the whole project and how I implemented my project. Than he gave me 5 programs to write, explain than a lot of small puzzles few were difficult and a lot of question on academics syllabus and extra-curricular activity. Surely this was difficult than the previous one and only 20% qualified this round.
Round 5: (HR).
This was an easy one but half were rejected in these round. Mainly question Basic HR type question such as why you choose your college what you hate about your college or the management. What extra-curricular activity you have done, why I should hire you, your weakness, family or job what is important, any plan for higher education, what you know about Huawei, no. of placement offers received, etc. Your resume will play key role here and answer wisely this questions it looks easy but was difficult to answer as you don't know on which parameter they will select you. The result came after 3-4 weeks I was selected from my college and I am very happy about it. I am sharing my experience as learning from other experience helped me a lot.
