Ericsson India Global Services Private Limited Interview Experience - RCC Institute Of Information Technology - 3rd December

Posted By : Anirban Pal Rating : +51, -11
Hi guys, this is Anirban Pal from RCC Institute Of Information Technology, pursuing final year B.Tech in ECE dept. Let me tell you my interview experience of one of the reputed telecomm company named Ericsson India Global Services Private Limited.

Ericsson conducted campus placement drive in our college on 3rd of december, 2015. The whole process for the drive was divided into 4 parts,

1). Online Test..
2). GD.
3). Technical.
4). HR.

1) The online test was conducted by CoCubes (45 questions in 45 minutes). It has 3 sections-- Logical Reasoning, Aptitude and Verbal. This online test was all about timing. I suggest as there is no negative marks, try to attempt all the questions you got there ;) But yes, there was a sectional-cut off too.. So be careful about that and prepare from IndiaBix.

It was like 115 students (probably) appeared for Ericsson and only 43 got short-listed.

2) GD round was very easy. Just try to talk at-least for 2-3 mins and make your point valuable. But remember you'll also be asked to give a conclusion of your own and be careful about that too. Our topic was Online vs Offline Shopping :)

only 4-5 people got rejected in this round.

3) Technical Round- Here comes the most crucial part of the entire process. I was the first candidate for the technical interview in my panel. It was quite easy 'cause they asked questions from my area of interest i.e Analog and Digital Communication and from my training on PCB designing. It took 40min above.

Me: May I come in Sir? (with a smile)

Sir: Yes, Sure!

Me: Good afternoon Sir (also with a smile)

Sir: Okay Anirban, Tell me something about yourself.

Me: Told (very confidently).

Sir: Okay Anirban, so what is your everyday routine?

Me: At first, I got a shock, they generally don't ask such thing...but okay, I told him with a smile and he was impressed :D

Sir: That's good! (then he took out my CV and take a look)
So, you've a interest in communication?

Me: Yes Sir! (confidently)

Sir: What is communication?

Me: Told. (this question was a expected one ;-))

Sir: So, what type of communications are there?

Me: Told.

Sir: you know about any recent technologies on Wireless Communication?

Me: Yes Sir, Li-Fi.

Sir: (impressed) Good! Do you know about advantages or disadvantages of digital communication? Why do we use it?

Me: (again a very expected question) Told.

Sir: What are the technologies we use in Wireless Communication?

Me: Told and he was impressed :D
then he asked a lot on communication and then on my training like what technology did you use for PCB designing and the entire process of making a PCB board.

after that...
Sir: Well Anirban, as an ECE student you should have some idea about electrical components?

Me: (What the heck??!! I was totally gone, for a moment..then hold my nerve :P)
     said, "yes sir, sort of".

Sir: What is the unit of resistance, capacitance, voltage, current?

Me: (What is happening? What kind of question is this?)
      Then told.

Sir: Show me the relations between P, V, R and I.

Me: Did that.

Sir: Okay good! So, tell me your aspiration of your life? (Finally a non-technical question :P)

Me: (at first I told him that same old bookish thing what everyone has to say). But then he smiled and told me that don't use such bookish language...told me what you really want to do that one thing in your life?

And I finally told him that... "Sir, to be honest I really want to play a guitar solo in-front of thousands of people :) " and he smiled :)

Lastly he said it was very nice talking to you and he said a best of luck with a smiling face :D

4) HR round- HR round is all about your presence of mind. Be confident and make a smiling face. HRM asked me questions from my hobbies(she found my hobbies very interesting ;-)), reallocation, agreement issue and etc.

Finally, 14 people got selected (6 from ECE) and I was one of them and that was very proud moment of my life I'd say :)

Got rejected in TCS interview...didn't go for iGate drive and finally got a job in world's one the best telecomm company :D so keep faith in yourself and God.

Thank you and All the best to everyone! :)
Cheers!
