The recruitment team had come from Ericsson - Kolkata and the process was as follows.
1. Ericsson Pre-Placement Presentation:
This included the tech and HR team of the recruiters to give a detailed presentation about their company, declare the salary, and the designation they were offering for the students appearing for the drive. Students having questions were also given chance to pose their question and their queries were resolved.
2. Aptitude Test(online conducted by CoCubes):
This test contained 45 questions and were divided into 3 sections namely;
The level of difficulty is not so high and anybody with good basics and proper time management can crack this test.
The results were declared after a while and the shortlisted candidates were asked to report the next day morning for further rounds of the process.
All the selected candidates were divided into batches of 15 and group discussion were conducted separately and simultaneously. The candidates were again divided into 2 groups internally and were given two topics. They can choose any one topic for discussion unanimously. Anybody who could converse in basic English and convey their point was given an opportunity for the further rounds.
4. Technical Interview:
All the candidates who attended this interview were posed with basic questions from C, C++, SQL and Java. Most of us were asked to write simple programs. Questions related to a topic of the candidate's choice were also posed and they seemed to be pretty basic and simple.
Personal Opinion: Do not list those skills of yours in which you are still an amateur. This might land you in trouble. Keep things simple.
Most of the candidates who could come up to technical interview were given a chance with the HR. The HR poses questions such as,
Why do you want to work with Ericsson?
What are your five unique selling propositions(USPs)?
Describe yourself using these USPs.
What is your strong area apart from technology?
What are the co- and extra-curricular activities you were a part of, in college?
Whether you have a Passport and PAN Card?
What are your preferred locations of work?
The selected candidates were announced after a long wait and 30 candidates got selected out of the 120+ appeared.
It was a good experience.
