CTS PATTERN & INTERVIEW - 12 JUL 2006 - CALICUT

Hi Friends

I am lincy (M.Tech in Electronics), placed in CTS, we had the ppt at 2.30 pm,they were on time. We then had the selection test

Each section was given a fixed time of say 20 mts. The sections were as follows

Verbal-which consisted of comprehension passages, sentence corrections etc. Sentence corrections were a bit misleading as choices r pretty close. Passages were very long

Analytical Ability-venn diagram, ratio, time and distance
then questions like what is ***$$$ the trick is use binary number syastem like asigning * as 0 and $ as 1 and solve the questions
prepare from RS Agarwal for quant

Attention to detail-this section had questions like
if all bottles are pencils and if some pencils are chairs then all chairs are.........
figures like squares are given ,complete the next pattern in figure
if u r really careful and manging time properly u can clear the aptitude test

For Interview since I am an Electonics student they asked me technical questions like
why optical fibre. copper cable
gsm &cdma difference between both
why software
what is DTH
then which centre I prefer working
I answered all the questions confidently & correctly.

Out of 250 students only 85 cleared test and 41 got selected after interview.
