Cognizant technology solutions Interview Experience - Noida, February 15, 2014
CTS visited Amity University on the 15th of February. They did not waste any time in presentation or anything.
1st process :
It was an online APTITUDE TEST organised by AMCAT. It was a 55 min test and had the following sections :
1) English (25 Questions. 25 mins).
2) Quants (14 Questions. 14 mins).
3) Logical reasoning (16 Questions. 16 mins).
Just practice the questions from IndiaBix, RS aggarwal, and for english you can also refer to Book by Hari Prasad. These will be enuf. Keep in mind your speed and your temperament.
2nd process :
After clearing the written. On the 22nd Feb we were called for the technical interview. The interviewer was really sweet but was noticing my body language at the same time. She greeted me and I responded back well. She asked me the following questions :
How well do you know C language?
Write a program to print palindrome?
Explain the logic behind Fibonacci series?
How does the GPS works?
What is difference between Electrical devices and electronic devices?
Difference between microprocessor and microcontroller ?
I answered each question up to her expectations (thats my view as she was saying good after my every answer :-D).
After this she asked me about me flexibility to relocate. Working on any project. (if you are asked either of these questions. Your chances going to the next round are increased).
She asked me to leave and said "w8 for your Hr interview". I thanked her n got out of the room.
3rd Process :
The HR interview was just a formality. She asked me about the activities I had stated in my Resume. It was a normal interaction just to check the level of communication skill and confidence. Just stay relaxed and flow into the moment. No need to act smart.
It lasted for 10 mins. She was positive in her response and asked me to check my mails regularly.
PS : Resume is your soul inside the technical and Hr room. So don't try to be over smart in it. If you are a non-CS/IT. Prepare any three topics well or if you have mentioned C in your resume, be true to the interviewer of how much you know the subject.
For CS/IT. Your languages which you have stated in your resume have to be strong. Even if you have not mentioned any language. They will surely ask you because thy expect this from CS/IT.
Hope It Helps. :)
