Cognizant Technology Solutions - Chennai, Nov 15th 2013
I am Dheeraj, Completed BE in Electronics and Instrumentation engineering 2013 passed out.
I applied to CTS through AMCAT[online registration for free[eligibility should be 2013 passed out, tenth, twelfth and UG/PG with min of 70%.
I got hall-ticket to appear online test, test comprising 25 questions of verbal, 16 questions of logical reasoning and 16 questions of aptitude, along with these coding part is also there. Candidate can choose any one of the coding language;c, c++, java].
Each coding section will have 2 questions and 1 hr timing which you need to type and compile the output.
After test they told that shortlisted students will be getting confirmation through mail.
Within 1 day mail came to attend interview @CTS office,
First round is general HR face to face [randomly selected candidates for this round, few guys haven't attended this and were directly sent to next round], HR asked questions like "tell me about yourself?".
"Tell about your family".
General discussion with HR. No one is rejected /failed in this round.
Next we were taken to Tech interview.
In tech interview:
Hr will be asking coding /programming question for CS & IT dept[so be ready for that].
For circuit branches questions will be asked from their subjects generally, mostly based on your interest subjects.
Here candidates were filtered.
And who cleared tech were taken to HR round.
Where there HR asked general question only from your resume[so, make sure you can answer any question from your resume].
Than there is certificate verification,
Then final round is having 3 member panel asking the same resume and general questions for circuit branches, for CS & IT they are asking programming and coding related questions.
And this round is also a optional, they selected randomly few candidates and told rest of the people to leave and the result will be announce in a week through mail.
Finally I got the mail within a day. :) :) :).
