On 13 of this month CTS came to our campus.
Their selection procedure is as follows:
Firstly there was a written test. Mostly it consisted of verbal, reasoning and quantitative aptitude.
Go through R.S.agarwal. Its more than enough.
Verbal section comprised questions on error sentences, synonyms, antonyms, jumbled sentences, reading comprehensions etc..
In quant, questions from l.c.m, h.c.f,number systems, areas, time and distance, time and work, simple interest were asked. They were quite a bit easy.
Reasoning consisted of syllogisms, direction sense, logical venn diagrams.
Mostly concentrate on time factor.. Its an online test. questions can't be edited again.
Out of 775 students 250+ are shortlisted for interview.
Interview consisted of two rounds. HR and TECHNICAL.
Firstly TECHNICAl round:
Interviewer: hi. good morning,
Me : Hai sir. good morning.
Int : Myself Vishnu working in hr department CTS. So let me introduce about my interview pattern. Its a fifteen minute interview where am gonna ask you certain questions and write down some notes while you answer them. please don't believe that am not listening you. I will just note down the way you answer my questions.
Is it Ok for you?
Me : yes sir perfectly.
Int : Ok. koushik tell me about yourself?
Me : Sir, this is koushik from CHEM department ****, I have completed my intermediate in Narayana junior college hyderabad with an aggregate of 96.2%..I have done my schooling from a small private school in my village..I secured top marks in my class.
Basically am a calm going guy sir....I am very focussed, determined and patient sir.
When I start doing something I never take rest until I finish it off sir.
I have lot of interest in chemistry, Research field sir.
Int : So you are interested in research right then why are you opting a software firm?
Me : Sir I'm a kinda person who never leaves an opportunity which strikes my door.
And mostly I learnt from my seniors is that CTS is better than most core companies and it is also collaborated with INVENSYS and also 27 top pharmaceutical companies. these companies do require chemical engineers. so in that aspect I definitely believe I can opt this job sir.
Int : Good..what do you think a student from non cs/it will do in CTS?
Me : Sir, as am a fresher according to me. mostly students from non cs/it will solve IT solutions that may arise in their own respective fields sir. every branch has its relationship with IT sir...So every student has equal importance in CTS sir.
Int : In your resume you have written you are a positive attitude guy? what is meant by positive attitude?
Me : Sir not losing hope even in dire situations is called positive attitude sir.
Int : Tell me one critical situation in ur life where you felt you couldn't solve it?
Me: Explained...said about a cultural event at my school , where chief guest made an absent.
Int : Are you adaptable? if so prove me with an example?
Me : Yes sir am adaptable...I hav done my schooling at my home town and from past seven years am living here comfortably which shows am adaptable.
Int : Ok koushik. we are done with interview..do you have any questions for me?
Me : Sir I saw that CTS is recruiting bulk amount of students from lots of colleges in this grim situations of IT, how do you believe that you can give salaries and hikes to every member of your company?
Int : Good question...see Mr.koushik we have our own policies regarding recruiting students. we foresee some aspects in IT industries..and some of our panel explains the number of employees required. So according to them we proceed.
Me : Thank you sir.
Int : Thank you can leave now.
