CTS Interview, Hyderabad 05-Dec-2011

Hii.........
           After successfully completing my written test, im eagerly waiting for the technical interview, I got a mail from CTS saying that I have selected in the written test and asked me to attend the further rounds of technical discussion. I started my preparation from basics of all subjects, after that went depth of subjects in data structures, java, s/w engg.

Day of Interview: I was really tensed and when I say people there it still increased.
there were nearly 600 candidates and the technical interview rounds started in nearly 20 panels. Im waiting, nearly took 1 hr for my turn..

Interviewer: Hii Uday.
me:               Hii Sir, (Shaking hand) Good morning and nice to meet you sir.
Interviewer: Take your seat, tell me something about yourself.
me:               Bla Bla Bla.........
Interviewer: Explain me about your project.
me:               Said(As I prepared it well).
Interviewer: Which part of your project did you fell tough.
me:               Analysis, Design sir.
Interviewer: What testings are done on your project.
me:               said(black, White box testing with ex).
Interviewer: what sorting techniques you know well.
me:               Bubble, Selection, Quick, merge sorting's sir.
Interviewer: Explain bubble sorting with these nos (by giving some nos)
me:               done( he stopped me in middle and said ok).
Interviewer: Can u explain binary search tree.
me:               Yes sir( explained).
Interviewer: ( asked java basic questions)
me:               said.
Interviewer: Solve this puzzle.
me:               Done it 90%( he say me struggling and said its ok tried well).
Interviewer: ( asked all my parer presentations to explain).
me:               Explained (Be prepared with them).
Interviewer: what part of SDLC you like mast.
me:               said.
Interviewer:  Ok Uday Ur done, Thank you.
me:                Thank you, have a nice day sir.
Interviewer:  You too.

My technical last for 40 min and the key is that at any part of the interview do not loose your confidence.... Be prepared with every part of your resume thoroughly.
I waited for my result for about 10 min then One HR called my name asked me to attend HR round  

Me: Gd mrng sir.
HR: Gd mrng take ur seat.
Me: thanq sir.
HR: Do u have any standing arrears uday.
Me: No sir.
HR: Do you have any Domain or Posting constraints.
Me: No sir.
HR: This job is in Chennai Will you go?
Me: Yes sir.
HR: Why?
Me: Said.
HR: OK Thank you, result will be mailed to you in a week.
Me: thanq sir.

My HR is just for 3 min, But some of my colleges were asked to tell about movies, most happiest moment in life etc.

After 4 days a mail from cognizant saying that I have selected..... Happy moments......

Only thing I can say is be confident in replying to HR even though you are not sure about the answer, but dont try to bluff them.. they are too intelligent than us... never ever try to overcome them in discussion even though you are brilliant in the topic..
