CARITOR PATTERN & INTERVIEW - 27 MAR 2007

Hi Friends

I attended CARITOR on 27th March 2007 at our college campus in Sairam Engineering College. I went and attended with no hopes but i got selected.

FIRST, the written test started around 9.15am and it lasted for an hour. then we had ppt which again lasted for an hour. the results of candidates selected were read out and it was god's blessings that my name was also there in the list. then came the group discussion round.

GD is just a selection round and not elimination round. people who were able to speak loud and clear were selected and most important is the amount of confidence u show on ur face. don ever fear for the hr who is sitting there... it may appear to u as if he is not watching u but the thing is he reads through what u hav written in essay writing and hears to wat u say. conclusion was asked to be given by the candidates who spoke less... present ur point with full vigour and energy...

Around 50 candidates were shotlisted in the GD round against 62 candidates who were selected at first...

Then we were asked to appear for the technical round....i belong to instrumentation engg..people 4m mechanical and inst were classified as non-i.t background...and hence we will be put into software testing once we are appointed. people 4m other streams were classified as i.t background..
anyhow, we were made to sit in room and the hr gave a brief introduction about the software testing...then he gave n object to be tested...

My product was washing machine and we were asked to write test cases positively, negatively and breakage tests.. we were asked to write this in a piece of paper and we handed it over in 15 minutes...

The interview started around 4pm....  and i was waiting for 3.5 hours outside... i was the last person to be interviewed and my turn came at 7.30... the hr appeared to be very friendly...and he started asking about my family details.. then he asked questions in a negative way..but i answered them in a positive sense....remember friends....try to use as much as i believe, i can kinda things in ur speech... this wud pave a way in gettin ur job and try ro portray a happy face and try screening ur fear...

it lasted for around 15minutes... then i left the room... we were waiting for the results for almost two hours... finally the results were announced at 9.30pm....
