Accenture Interview Experience - Kohi, November 9, 2014

Posted By : Ankit Goyal Rating : +33, -14
I got a call of Accenture through AMCAT (Bhubaneswar drive on 1st Nov) not possible to attend that drive, then I got a call through ELITMUS on 3rd Nov for Kochi 9th Nov Drive, Kochi is so far from Delhi there are two calls in 1 week, I felt like Accenture is calling me, So I discussed with my parents and decided that I should go and now I am touring whole south with my family.

Eligibility : 60% in Graduation only.

Total 110 marks, I got in Elitmus, I think cut off was around 105.

Document verification (Nov 08 ,2014 ):

They called us one day before interview for verification, I reached at around 11a.m.

Gatekeeper told me that verification got cancelled.

So, I returned back although many students have registered on this day.

Next Day :

Interview Day (Nov 09 ,2014) :

We enter the hall at 8:30 AM.

So the document process began in which we had to fill Accenture's employability form (make sure carry all the things Elitmus has asked for) and everyone was divide into groups according to their hall ids and each group had around 20 students.

Then each group was send for another verification which barely took 5 minutes and then we were further divided into a group of 6 and we all had to go together for the interview. And there was only one round of interview.

Coming to interview.

We were 6 members in my group and two HRs. One for HR and one for Technical.

HR said we'll now give you a topic and you have to discuss on that then he asked what topics you want then we gave some suggestions at last he gave a topic on its own "Dress code in Corporate" and divided us in the group of 3 each one for and one for against. Now we have 30 seconds to think on the topic. We started the discussion we had a very brisk discussion then HR told me and one more member to stop and let other 4 speak (I thought I had ruined everything) GD ends.

HR: Project details done in 1st year.
Me: Told.

HR: Favourite Subject?
Me: Core Java (Tell the subject which you know very well).

HR: Do you what is Struts and Hibernate?
Me: Actually sir I had Core Java till Arrays only.

HR: Have you worked on any framework?
Me: I had worked in Eclipse, Netbeans (impressed).

HR: Last time when you had coded something in Java?
Me: Yes, sir yesterday I had coded a program.

HR: What you coded?
Me: Basic programs of finding Prime numbers, Anagrams (HR laughed).

Interview Ends.

HR: Do you have any questions for us?
Me: Yes sir, can you tell me something about the recent project given to Accenture India Bharti retail.

HR: (Both HRs give a shocking expression) We can't tell you about our project it is confidential between us and the client.

We are told to leave all the members left I turned back and thanked the HRs and shook hands with them after waiting for 10 mins results are announced and out of the 6 members 4 are selected in my group and I was one of them (it was the best wait of my life till now).

And they told that wait in seminar hall named as 2nd stage of Accenture. So after 1 hour, they officially declared that you all are selected and we all clapped together and about the further details and call letter after which we were asked to go back home.

So I will suggest you that never lose hope, do hard work, "Your Success Can Be Delayed But can't be denied".

And prepare well and more importantly be confident because that's all that matters!!
