Accenture Interview Experience - 9th November 2014
These scores were worse than the first one so I thought this is it and I am not writing it again and I am never getting a call. I talked to few experts and they said you should have 70 plus in all the sections along with 70 in B.Tech. so I gave up on it since my graduation score was just 6.6.
But after few months I got an Email from Elitmus and when I opened it up I realized this was an interview call for Accenture drive on 9th November in Kochi. I got all excited and accepted the call without giving it the second thought, Only after that I realized all the obstacles that were waiting for me. But amidst all that I decided to take my chance so I booked my flight one day before the process. Elitmus had asked us to come a day earlier (optional) to get the document verification done which was great because that helped us in finishing up the interview early.
I reached at the venue and there were hundred of people waiting on day before and this made me a little more nervous than I already was. So the document process began in which we had to fill Accenture's employability form (make sure carry all the things Elitmus has asked for) and everyone was divide into groups according to their hall ids and each group had around 20 students. The process started at 2.30 and ended at around 8 for us. And everyone was exhausted after that. (make sure you reach one day early and finish your verification because that will help you next day).
We were called at 9 in the morning so we went and the HR came at 10 am. Then each group was send for another verification which barely took 5 minutes and then we were further divided into a group of 6 and we all had to go together for the interview. And there was only one round of interview.
We waited for another 10 minutes before we were called for my interview. I was more nervous two of the girls from my group had a call letter already. I could literally hear my heartbeat when I sat down.
So the interviewer were very friendly, there were two of them. One for HR and one for Technical.
Question 1- Define yourself in word and give a reason to justify that.
The first guy didn't get what the interviewer said and he started telling about himself. The interviewer asked everyone if we got the question. He said no and then he repeated again and then everyone told one by one.
Question 2- What are your technical abilities?
Told. And then he asked few question about my project, one from my training and one from my training.
Question 3- What do you know about Accenture?
Answered in detail (including Accenture's significant projects) and HRs were mightily impressed.
The others were asked about core values of Accenture, Why Accenture and what is accenture's tagline.
Then he asked general questions like do you guys have PAN card, willing to relocate and about night shift (everyone said yes except the girls). Then he thanked us and so did we.
I was pretty happy when I left the interview room. We were asked to wait for 10 minutes and then he called out the hall ids and told most of us to go to another waiting room (which was a sign). And only few unlucky people were send back home. We waited for half an hour and then one of the HR came and said those three most magical words ever. WELCOME TO ACCENTURE.
Everyone was shouting their lungs off and the happiness at everyone's face was priceless.
Then he told us about the further details and call letter after which we were asked to go back home.
So guys prepare well and more importantly be confident because thats all that matters!!
