Paul Ehrlich (in late1800s and early 1900s) studied the microbes and scientist who worked in the fields of hematology, immunology, and antimicrobial chemotherapy.

He also explains the method to stain for microscopy and he was the first scientist who proposed the idea of selective toxicity.
