We can even search anything from Google and get a lot of information by enhancing its knowledge. Well!every coin has two sides, hence internet is a boon as well as bane. Yes I agree with this topic that the internet is an exercise in hype. Everyone knows that how the internet is useful in our life. Like our other basic need such as food, water, air, and shelter, Internet has also become our basic need of life. At present condition we can't do any work without internet. Internet is like boon on us. Internet has unlimited advantages such as:.
1. Internet banking: We can pay online to anyone at any time and from anywhere.
2. Railway ticket Booking: We can easily book and cancel our railway, bus, flight ticket from anywhere and anytime without standing in line.
3. Examination form: We can easily fill our examination form and entrance exams conducted by various institute and companies by sitting in home.
4. Online shopping: We can easily buy anything through online shopping by just sitting in home and easily pay our bills.
5. Job: we can easily find our favorite job by using internet only.
6. We can search anything which we can think within few seconds.
7. A student can study all of his subjects by using internet.
8. We can easily communicate to anyone through email and chatting.
9. We can easily see our loved ones through webcam from anywhere.
10. We can find so many ideas and new techniques for cooking food, for decorating house, new products launch and so on.
11. We can share our thoughts, memories and ideas through some social network websites such as FACEBOOK, TWITTER, G+ and so on and also we can connect to our friends and colleagues through these websites.
12. We can find any place and search it through Google map.
And there so many other fields in which we use internet.
Yes it is true that through internet cyber crime has been increased by some criminals like Cyber harassment, Cyber-crimes against all forms of property, Cyber-crimes against government. But only we can diminish it. There are some steps which should be followed to diminish these things such as:.
1. Everyone has to aware at every step when he/she is using a social network website.
2. There is no need to put our personnel and important thing in email or any website.
3. No one has to tell his/her password to anyone.
4. All the securities provided by websites should be enable.
5. Internet banking has to do carefully.
6. There should be minimum use of public computers for personnel stuff.
7. Government has to ban illegal websites and provide filters to the internet users.
8. There should be only one account of any person in any website.
9. Only one internet connection should be provided to each individual and its proper record should be maintained by the government.
10. There should be awareness program conducted by government In particular interval of times to fight against cyber crime.
I think these may help to decrease the cyber crime. |

As all my friends have already discussed here, about internet being a hype these days. I would just conclude that I completely agree that Internet is a hype. It has changed our life in different ways and altogether.
I totally agree that Internet has moved in every corner of our lives.
Search Engines (Google, etc) -One can find details of everything, about a personality, famous singer, dancer, religion, lifestyle, geography of a place, wonders, tricks, books, current affairs, languages etc. To conclude its knowledgeable.
Websites:-One can learn a lot from websites, one can learn instruments like guitar etc, one can read books, see and learn about arts. Students can read the researches of all over the world, which was not possible before.
Webcam:-One can be in touch with their loved ones, with the webcams. One can see and talk to their loved ones ever if they are thousand miles away. And its economical than mobiles.
Banking sites:- Helps one to know about the bank policies, about the banks, their ratings, their variable interest rates, its profits, balance sheet, one can compare it with other banks, know their bank better, it also save their time and money through net banking.
Online shopping:- Just a click, and you can shop online, saving time and money. Delivery is done at home, again makes things simple.
Job Seeking sites:- Helps job seekers to get their desired jobs.
Online forms/ Exams:- This saves our time as results are published quickly, hassle free and more accurate.
Paperless environment:- Paperless environment makes world greener and saves wildlife.
Thus there are a lot of good things about internet.
Now the demerits are:-.
Security:- It is a major issue, Necessary action must be taken and strong IT policies should be framed.
Adult websites:- I believe its an individual choice about it. However, I am in favour that government should make strict IT policies for it.
To conclude that internet is a useful gift, if used in correct way and with few government policies it can come over its demerits also. |

I strongly agree with Internet is an exercise in hype. Now a days we have to checking all matters in the internet. Sometimes we were searching one important thing, while it shown be some other unwanted links. This is not a matter. Suppose it may be come like this unwanted links mean we have omit that. We have to already know what is there inside that links. Exclude this, lot of good things happens in the internet. Now a days all of our business come along with online market, online sharing. In the past of year we were kept long queue in bank for to deposit money or transaction purposes. This is overcomes by today advanced method like internet banking. Now itself came mobile banking. We have got so much of benefits for this. Travel booking (airlines, bus, train) , exam registration, online exam, these are all reducing our work. Somewhat negative matters inside it, we have to take a positive matters. Now a days and in future we can't live without internet because everything is available internet. Internet is going to booming.

Not only this but also we can fulfill numerous works by using it. The list of its advantages is never ending. Yes I agree that it can be used in a bad manner but that depends on the individual using it as for example a weapon can be used to kill a person on the other hand it can be used for defense purpose. First thing which I want to clear here is what the exact Technical definition of Internet is- "Internet is the network of networks, very rapidly growing that's why technology moves from IPV4 to IPV6",
Because of this rapid growth Internet has huge chamber of knowledge, information, services like e-commerce etc. provides human comforts. But according to Defense it is also a very dangerous weapons not only against the security of Countries but also against the individuals.
One more example i want to give you is, a 10-15 year old child uses Internet for learning, gaming and knowledge purpose but one day unfortunately he reached at one site which diverts his mind from studies, outdoor games and whatever the extra activities required for his growth, causes a very dangerous affects |

There are some advantage of internet that are very important to various sphere of life. That advantage are.
1. With the help of various search engine we can access various information in each and every thing such as. Information related to science, mathematics, history, geography, general knowledge, current affairs etc.
2. Internet is also useful for the communication. We can talk to our family member and relatives with the help of internet who are physically apart to us.
3. Internet is widely use in many fields such as banks for online transaction, in hospitals to preparing reports of patient, colleges for study, organization to relate their branch. And many more fields.
Despite of various advantage there are some disadvantage of internet.
1. Internet is source of unwanted virus that can corrupt our sensitive and important files.
2. There are some adult and informative information are easily available to younger that can create an undesirable effect on their mind.
3. Cyber crime is another cause of internet that can effect the country as well as individuals.
So the government should make the strict IT polices related to cyber crime. The unwanted sites must be banned. There must be adequate infrastructure to deal with the misuse of internet. |

| The name only signifies it INTER-net, means a network which is shared by all for variety of purposes. Internet has become a buzzword for each n every person as it can sought out variety of problems in fraction of second. Either communicating with your near and dear ones or official work, filling application form or booking train ticket it has become part and parcel of our life. But apart from that it has been misused for example adult sites and porn content can distort the thoughts of youngsters. Hacking has become common either mail accounts or your debit card password. But with few misuse and plenty of use we can say that let us exploit the positive part of it. |

As every coin has s two sides, even internet has its two sides both negative and positive. It depends on the user of the site. Mostly internet is used for browsing for information for projects and many other things, which makes a count for its advantage.
But accordingly internet is even used for many other useless purposes, such as wasting the precious time for chatting, and downloading different kinds of videos or songs which is even not legal. So according to me internet is even a boon and a curse. |

Internet is one of the revolutionary invention by the mankind. It has brought the world closer and being physically apart in no way means to be disconnected with anyone for years. Let's consider some examples-:.
A) With the advent of search engines we can search and download whole sea of information regarding any topic at our system. With the creation of online library we can see the best of the information available on the net regarding any topic which is bothering us. See right now I don't have to join any institution for GD topics preparation. I am preparing by giving my viewpoints on the topics on this site. A girl who scored good rank in IAS last year said that she did most of the preparation by browsing on different sites and collecting best of the information.
B) Any person separated physically from their family members can see using webcam and chat with them also. Imagine if your dear ones is living in foreign country like USA. The cost of calling will be too high for a middle class family to afford to connect to their dear ones from India. But through net we have to spend a minimal amount to talk and even see them.
C) Recently the revolution which started in Tunisia and spread across the middle-east is especially sparked by people communicating through social networking sites. The guy from Egypt who was central to the revolution movement was no aged leader but actually the young Google engineer. I still recollect that, way back in 2006 when orkut was popularised as a social networking site how I searched and knew about my childhood friends from whom I was separated for 8-9 years.
So, advantages are countless. Now-:.
A) Internet is the source of harmful viruses which can corrupt our sensitive and important files. Somebody can hack our Bank account and can take away all the money.
B) On the advent of youtube all the adult and informative contents are within our easy reach. But when you will visit these sites you will find some adult contents to be topping the most searched lists. It is spoiling our younger generation and they feel like an addicted to it. Even the unmatured childrens browse and view these contents which create an undesirable effects on their minds and finally they end up having some kind of pshycological disorders.
C) Terrorists hack secretive information from important sites. With the help of hacking only, the terrorists entered our high-security parliament also on 13th Dec 2001.
If anybody would have seen the Diehard 4 then they would remember how the terrorists controlled all the systems to capture over the entire security fabric of the country. They were sending bombs through net also!. It may be true one day.
So everything boils down on the use.
Now how can it be stopped? It can't be left on the person to use it wisely. The government should make the strict IT security policies and should create adequate infrastructure to deal properly with misuse. Banning of unwanted sites should be done and proper checks should be made to track appropriate person is viewing appropriate sites. We have to go a long way to realise all this. Then internet will not be an exercise in hype but it will always be seen as the agent of humankind transformation. |

Hai this is Raji, in my point of view it not completely a curse to the society because it is source of livelyhood to most of the MNC's where their working strategy is based on internet. In case of students it helpful in creating innovative projects with 100% information regarding the project.

Yeah gentlemen, as we are discussing about the internet. As per as my concern the word internet is the network where we can get information from all the network sources. Yeah internet is really became a crazy in this world. Because everybody came to know about this and usage become more and more in the present world.
According to the youngsters now-a-days they are usually addicted to this to get more information about their studies, entertainment, sports, current affairs and almost the social-network sites. Thus it is playing a most important role to everybody at present situation.
Apart from this positive aspects, it has the negative side which people are using it in wrong way like Hacking which indicates to cyber-crime and some strange sites to divert their mind to negative thoughts and adult sites. So these are should to be stop for their misuse and create awareness to people mainly youngsters.
So, I prefer to use it in right way and get benefited by all the resources and reduce stop the crime. Thank Q. |

Everybody said that internet has both positive and negative effects. We can judge anything as positive n negative only when we have clear idea about it. To recognize something as negative we should be aware of how it will be. If anybody says it has negative effect n don't go for that we wont agree. Always our mind will be attracted towards things that are hidden. If those things are visualised n asured as negative then only it will be fixed in mind as negative.
Most of people tend towards negative things without having knowledge about its negativity. But internet also provides knowledge about its advantages and disadvantages. |

As we know that everything has some positive side as well as some drawback also. Same thing is applicable for internet also. Nowadays we can't think our life without internet, whatever think we need everything is available over here.
People who are knowledge seeker they get knowledge through this, it's a very unique options for house wives to cook various delicious food through internet, even we can contact with friends, family members through some social sites, specially we can get various news regarding everything from this.
Even jobseekers also get various information regarding job openings and all this type of beneficial news. There are some matrimonial sites also through which people can find out their soul mates. If we count the blessings of internet it will never end,its endless.these are all its posituve sides,as i told earlier there are some negative side also.
But we should always seeker of good things,so that can gain a lot of knowlegde ,as whatever may be the drawbacks, there are a no of blessings also.So it depands on people how they want to use it, but if they use its advantages only i am very sure that human generation will reach the acme. |
