The Ozone layer of our Earth is the protective cover for the planet, which prevents the entry of harmful rays from the sun, thereby protecting the living beings from harmful diseases.

Ozone layer act as a umbrella to protect from harmful uv rays. And prevent skin diseases.

I know that when standing in morning sun _rays the uv rays in sunlight will ctonvert the oil in skin to vitamin_D. Without the entry of uv rays how is it possible (u say that ozone prevents uv rays).

Sun contains a very dangerous rays called UV rays and the ozone layer which is present in the earth's atmosphere and it protects the earth from the UV rays and convert it into Infrared rays which is better than the UV rays and it is also very much necessary for every creature.

The ozone is the outer protective layer of earth. it does not allow the ultraviolet rays to reach the earth atmosphere. If the ultraviolet rays fall on earth then various skin cancer and other dieases will occur in both plants and animals.

Ozone layer protect us from uv rays of sun. So optetion "D" is correct.

UV rays are harmful for human skin and body, ozone layer protects UV radiation, but these days increase in pollution and in CFC level has depleted this ozone layer.

Ozone layer protects us from harmful ULTRAVIOLET radiations. But due to the increase of pollutions the Ozone layer is depleted, the concentration of Carbon-dioxide increases and this causes dizziness in body and sometimes leads to death of the person.

The depletion of ozone layer leads to skin cancer ect.

How it is possible ,if ozone layer protect uv rays ,then how man gets vitamin D

The ozone layer is a layer in Earth's atmosphere containing relatively high concentrations of ozone (O3). However, "relatively high, " in the case of ozone, is still very small with regard to ordinary oxygen, and is less than ten parts per million, with the average ozone concentration in Earth's atmosphere being only about 0. 6 parts per million. The ozone layer is mainly found in the lower portion of the stratosphere from approximately 20 to 30 kilometres (12 to 19 mi) above Earth, though the thickness varies seasonally and geographically.

Ozone layer for earth like a umbrella. It will avoid diseases from rays, for that we have to avoid the factories steam.

Pervaz Ahad said: (Jan 3, 2013)
What is the ozone layer is this a gas, liquid or solid please?

How to get the vitamin D from UV?

Prabhat said: (Apr 11, 2013)
Ozone layer act as a shield against UV rays.

Ultraviolet rays are are very dangerous to human health and forestry. The long distance uv rays are checked by the ozone layer. Now a days ozone layer is depleting by the deforestation.

Sri said: (Aug 5, 2013)
Not only deforestation, CFC gases also spoiled the ozone layer.

Raman Kumar said: (Aug 27, 2013)
Its found in stratosphere in our atmosphere. Chlorofluorocarbon is main causing agent for depletion of ozone gas.

As this Ozone layer protect us from harmful UV radiations of the sun & also protect us from many diseases.

Shivani said: (May 26, 2014)
Ozone layer is very important for our earth but due to increase in global warming it is decreasing we have to save our earth for that we have to save nature so please save.

Vignesh said: (Jul 6, 2014)
Ozone layer is our heart. Because of it we are in this world. It restricts the ultraviolet (uv) rays from the sun which is very harmful.

Devendra said: (Aug 29, 2014)
The uv rays in sunlight will convert the oil in skin to vitamin D. Without the entry of uv rays how is it possible and in this question you say that ozone prevents uv rays.

Deforestation is the main cause of depletion of ozone gas. So, we don't cutting the forests.

There are three types of UV rays. Namely UVA, UVB and UVC.

As A and B are most dangerous and can cause hazardous diseases.

They are blocked by ozone as their intensity is more and hence the remaining one gets pass away and reaches to us.

Aryan Kanojia said: (Oct 6, 2014)
Ozone layer is a layer of a special gas called ozone and it absorbs the UV radiation or rays and converts it into oxygen.

Divya said: (Apr 22, 2015)
Ozone layer protects us only from harmful UV rays not from necessary UV rays that converts skin oil into vitamin D.

Angel said: (Sep 7, 2015)
The ozone layer restricts the affect the solar sun radiation effect that can cause the disturbance of a singularity is the energy of the earth is exposed with the gravitational pull and other explainable sources.

Aniket Minache said: (Sep 8, 2015)
Ozone layer is very much important for earth, because it protect us from harmful ultraviolet rays, coming from sun which create skin diseases, and this ozone layer is get destroyed slowly due to pollution in earth.

Ritika said: (Jul 27, 2016)
Ozone not only protects us from uv rays but also from X-rays and gamma rays along with infra red rays of long wavelength.

Ekta said: (Sep 18, 2016)
Uv rays cause the cancer.

Raziq said: (Apr 18, 2017)
The ultraviolet rays convert the skin oil into vitamin-D.
